I think you could do away with the Member of Today, Random Joke, Love Calculator and Calendar. The Quotes was a good idea
You have news and you have announcements. im guessing news is just that news.. we'd rather go to cnn.com for that. Announcements however are very much valuable in every forum.

promotion of another forum in a forum is unethical. reconsider your marketing campaign, there are other ways of inviting people. this thread is locked.
