Officers are not tech-savvy as one thinks they are. They dont have a device ON THE SPOT to detect a pirated movie, sw or whatnot right then and there. And if they do, would that make it cumbersome for each and every passenger who has brought laptops/tablets and other electronic storage devices to wait for about 30 mins or so?
Chances of being checked is like winning a philippine lottery, or being struck by a lightning... take your pick..
And to add more, if they are checking your OS and other SW... more like they are scaring the users away from using their products. much like a double-edge sword.. it cuts both sides..
