Ei guyz, we're looking for a senior dev to join a project. Send your resumes to
jobs@crowdmetric.com.
I can't post the project details here, but what I like about working here is that we're fairly independent when working on this project-- this means that we're not micromanaged as long as we get the job done. We're also fairly technology agnostic so we can choose any appropriate technology that can solve specific problems efficiently. We also don't have any external clients who keep on pressuring us to "deliver yesterday" so there's no stress (unlike some outsourcing companies hahaha). Again, I can't post the details, but we're building a fairly complex system and not just a website that displays data, so this project will be challenging.
Details:
Required (I know I said technology agnostic, but these are the basic skillz that you need to jump right into the existing code):
- Can write clean and understandable code.
- Must be proficient in PHP and MySQL.
- Working knowledge of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Firm knowledge in PHP development without frameworks.
- Experience working with an MVC framework.

- Can manually set up a web server (nginx/Apache, MySQL, and other similar technologies).
- Can develop in Linux and other Unix-based systems. Can write shell scripts in sh/bash.
- Working knowledge of Git or Mercurial.
- Experience working with Laravel.
- Experience using Amazon Web Services.
- Has an idea on how to make web applications scalable.
Personality:
- Comfortable working with changing requirements in response to present and future needs.
- Can design solutions that are modular and scalable enough to adapt to changing requirements.
- Has creative and methodical approach to problem solving. Knows how and where to google for solutions.
- Has appropriate interpersonal and communication skills (English).
- Be dedicated, thorough, and precise in their work.
- Be able to work independently or in a team to beat tight deadlines.
