Default Birth Control Implant (Implanon and Nexplanon)

Have you heard of this method? Anyone of you or your friends using this? Any side effects? How much?

This was offered by my OB since di ko pwede mabuntis for at least 3 years kay I gave birth twice last year puro CS. First time ko nakadungog ani nga method so nag research ko. Naa koy friend from Australia nga nag gamit ani. Gipa hikap ko niya sa iyang bukton kung asa gibutang ang implant and mura cyag jelly na matchstick size. This contraceptive is as effective as the pills and it'll last up to 3 years. Ka isa ra ibutang but 3 years iyang effectivity. Medyo mahal to ang pangayo sa akong OB around 6K but hassle-free man sad and very effective

Try to check the health centers near you. Since the RH Law is supposed to make a wide range of contraceptives for free.

The contraceptive implant is a small flexible plastic rod that's placed under the skin in your upper arm by a doctor. Once the implant is in place, you don't have to think about it again for 3 years. It's very useful for women who find it difficult to remember to take a pill at the same time every day. Implant Birth Control can have it removed at any time, and your natural fertility will return very quickly.

Like with all the other birth control methods there are some pros and cons about this one. As i am thinking about it myself, here is my summery:
    pros:
-you don't need to take medicine daily (or forget about it)
    -long lasting effect without sterilization
    -you can use while breastfeeding
-once you stop its easy to get pregnant

    cons:
-side effects, such as irregular bleeding within first 6-12 months (sounds a bit scary, doesn't it?)

The most important thing we have to remember when we choose a birth control method is that almost none of them give a 100% guarantee.
