Default [Help]Changed CMOS Battery. Some small problems popping up.

I just recently swapped out the CMOS battery because the previous was dying.

Here are the steps that I took after putting in the new CMOS battery:
    1. Moved jumper
    2. Turned on PC and changed time settings, save. Received notification to return jumper to original position.
    3. Shut down PC, did just that.
    4. Everything looks okay.

Now the problem I have is that I can't pin anything to the start menu or taskbar.
The option to do so is there but clicking on it does nothing.

If I right click the Taskbar and go to Properties, any changes I make in the Taskbar and Start Menu tab doesn't save when I open it again. Toolbars tab is fine.

Another problem I had is with Firefox always asking me to set it as default browser even though I already did that. The fix I did to this was by accessing the Control Panel and setting it as the default program through there. That made it work, but really I shouldn't have had to do that. Nevermind. I guess I had firefox already running when I tested it so it didn't notify me. Control Panel doesn't work either.

As an addition to browser woes, I can't access some sites on Firefox due to "Secure Connection Failed - The OCSP response contains out-of-date information. Error code: SEC_ERROR_OCSP_OLD_RESPONSE". I can access it fine on Internet Explorer however. I didn't have this problem before. Update for this paragraph: My date was a week in advance. Sorted this paragraph's issue.

I've already tried running in safe mode and the pinning doesn't work.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional, by the way.

I could very much use your help.

I just realized while I was out that I had the date set a week in advance. That fixed the certain website not popping up issue. But everything else is unsolved.

I had already updated the time and date via BIOS. Is there any other way?

Changing CMOS battery has nothing to do with your browser or programs. But sometimes when you changed the battery or reset the CMOS the TIME/DATE settings will restore to factory settings, so you must check on it first. If everything is okay? and same issues occur try to reformat nalang.
