    Toyota Prado LC90. But same principle with all alternators.

    Same symptoms as yours, battery was good but when started only 12.2 or 11.8 volts lang then drops to 10.5-11v nalang with AC and lights on.     naa ka lain gi modify? if wala that's very wierd nga dili maka karga.. hmm..

    so far sa ako experience nga dili maka karga ang alternator is
    (1) naai problem ang alternator.. kato nga time wa mi kahibaw nga ang alternator nag leak nya nag short then mao nah wala siya naka karga ug charge.. naka ad2 pa ko from IT to Mactan (Punta Engano) then sa Maguikay nga shell.... deadz nah ang battery.. kato nga time I though ang battery rah... so I got a new one.. kay nag dali mi atoh.. mas pas2x man replacement kay sa pa huwat mi ug rescue.. a few hours later.. deadz na pud ang batt.

    (2) naka try pud ko nga dili maka karga ang battery pero kato was due to a short.. (timing kato nga time naka dala ko ug multi tester..) even pag start sa car lisod kay suyopon sa short so dili maka jump ang starter.. na stuck up gud ko sa mall did2.. otw home wa ko busina, ang headlights weak, no signal.. gmaya nalng wa na gud.. sunod adlaw ako gi check ang fuse, okay ra man tanan.. so ni tawag ko ug mechaniko.. si subay niya then na kit.an niya naa sa manobila dapit ang short.. naai wire did2 nga nah strip.. (daan nga ni nga car.. gi pasa2x lng.. huwat nlng gud ko sa sakit mo gawas... *sigh) after that okay nah.. no more short.. may gani this time dili ang alternator..

    yah, in-ana pud ako pagtuo... kay kani gud siya, once loaded, bisan burakan pa ug tamak ang accelerator, dli mosaka ug 13.0V ang voltage..

    mokarga man siya boss. actually kung walay load, 14.3V man siya.. ang ako lang kay once loaded (aircon/headlight/hazard etc) gamay kaayu ang voltage reading

    Dako siguro imo compressor or imo aircon boss.. mao mg lisud siya

    Bisan 14+vdc pa na imo voltahe and you cant give actual figures on how many amps does ur alternator gives, mag cge tuyok2x imong pangutana dre...
    Tanan alternator 14.+vdc ra gyd na kutob ang regulator ihatag for safe batt charging but different in giving amps..
    Mao nang inig ON sa tanang electricals, mo drop ky di na kadaug imong alternator..or maybe something wrong w ur alternator..

    U need a power capacitor. Naa koy 1 farad nga not used plan to sell it. For set up parehas imoha nga naay audio

    have a good mekanik check your alternator....check also your belts spinning your alternator - basin lu.ag or worn out ang belt running your alternator.

    Did this happen overnight or gradual? What's your odo reading.....quality alternator should last around 150k before carbon brush wears out. Uban alternator pwede ilisan ang carbon brush, uban dili.
