Y r the newbies banned from posting at the commerce section??

I cnt get the rationale for this..
Are newbies so notorious at breaking the rules, that banning them is necessary in order to protect the whole istoryan community?

Why can't people with "Newbie" ranks post at the Buy / Sell boards and what should they do to be able to post there?
Due to the number of bogus / shady / illegal posts, the administration has decided to let people "earn" their posting rights at the said boards. This way (we hope), people will value their posting access at the said boards and think twice about posting crap. To be able to post at the Buy / Sell boards, one has to work his way up to "Junior Member" or avail of the paid options.

Are newbies mostly responsible for bogus / shady / illegal posts?
I am raising this question because I have used this forum before and I have found it very useful. That time, I was able to post under "Look For", but now, it seems that's no longer possible. I think the commerce section would be more useful if newbies would be able to post new thread.

It's very simple really. If you don't want to "earn" your posting rights, there are other options out there. There are a lot more reasons behind the decision which you don't need to know about.

Posting rights? What? This isn't a democracy, this is a dictatorship, you have no rights. You are not entitled to anything. You are using a free service that you need to prove yourself worthy to use anything.

I just think it's better. Just my opinion. Afterall, no matter how big the istorya community is right now, the real potential for growth is with the newbies. More newbies, more potential for growth. It won't hurt to give them a little more privilege, rather than drive them away with your "dictatorship" treatment (by the way, is this "dictatorship" thing a site-wide policy?).

God forbid you actually have to contribute anything to the site by having to post in other areas to become a Junior member before you can take something from the site. Growth in numbers means nothing, the community which consists of everything else other than the Buy/Sell is what makes iSTORYA great, not those who just sign up and think they deserve something ... and perhaps never return. With time and participation comes trust, those who have been have gained a certain level of trust to transact in Buy/Sell.

while i am for order and control in this site, i don't think it's wise to drive newbies away.

istorya is great. how much more if the commendation would come from visitors mismo.
