It has been protocol for the last two decades that local executives get the opportunity to choose who their chief of police is. A simple proactive notice/conversation on why (with proof) would suffice.

If you are unable to comprehend, it's like you are a coach and your preferred players were replaced without your consent in the middle of the finals.
To summarize, proactive communication has been the very big gap and none other than PNP Chief Bato recognizes that lapse as he apologized.

It's not too late for both to work together in harmony.

Kung wala palang agi si Tomas, ok ragyd i-replace dretso. But even for a short time since Margot took over as acting mayor, 9 of the top 10 drug lords were either killed, captured or had surrendered. PNP should have coordinated with Tomas first if his police chiefs were in cahoots with drug lords.

To re-state my comments above, a big communication lapse from the PNP side which Chief Bato apologized for.

how can we be so sure that their operation is legitimate or just an act of silencing their connections. Gen Bato has stated that somehow these relieved officers are connected to illegal drug trade. Perhaps Tomas should be grateful with this devt rather than complain about it which only make the public doubt about his recent actions/statements.
