Hi, im building a computer for gaming/programming. is this spec good enough for it? Chipset - AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.0Ghz (This chipset is from my old pc, still need some advice to upgrade it or not) Mobo - Gigabyte G1 Sniper A88X GPU - Sapphire Nitro R7 4GB DDR5 RAM - Gskill Ripjaw X 16GB (8 x 2) 2133 PSU - Aero Cool Strike X 600W 80+ Bronze Thank you in advance Still accepting some advice to change my current specs

unsa di-ay imo I.D.E. gamit?, what programming applications you using?, is compile time really that critical? (time it takes to finish compile), are you trying to compile gazillions of codes?, are you running many IDE's in parallel?

since naa na kay video card dont get an APU
if the mobo already in your hands, get an Athlon x4 860k
if wala pa kay mobo, try venturing on the intel side
an i3-6100 would be a good option paired with h110 mobo nga matx ikaw nlng pili

Ang madalas ko kase gamit na programming language is PHP with a tons of data in the database, and nag trtry ako mag venture on the native side of android programming.

the only thing that you have not listed is your HDD/SSD..., and for that, your current setup is more than enough. no need to have it upgraded..., but if you cant help the itch..., I can't force you ^_^

Get an FX, socket AM3+, 4 cores minimum or you can wait for AMD Zen (socket AM4) coming out this October.
Don't use CPU's with iGPU....it's waste of $$$

Like Jess said, wait for Zen, they'll release it sometime this october. but if you really need to upgrade within the month, go with intel nlng. Sa components na ni lista mo, prang di nman cguro problem ang budget... but still, since we're talking intel... I think it's best if you buy an i3 - 6100 and stop there. Pero kng gagamit k ng VM, then maybe consider going for an i5... which unfortunately, will cost you around 8-11k... but if you're not going to use VMs, programming and gaming lng. then i3-6100, B150 chipset, case nga oks, seasonic 520 evo psu... rx 480 kng pwede ( 4 gb variant sana pero saons... ) ... pwede na

But if you're going to use VMs...rather than an i5, I would suggest waiting for Zen
