back on thread - we have now this free one day unlimited internet provided by smart/globe/sun and tablets and fones are very cheap now, so we shouldn't be complain too much about this ... but on the other hand, they shouldn't have raised the hopes of pinoys ...

dugay naman gud ni gi-propose sa DOST...i think college pako...as I have heard murag JICA ang ni sponsor nila atong nga time pero wala natuloy kay dili willing ang atong government nga naay additional gasto nga dili ang JICA ang mobayad...

kung tibook pilipinas ma free wifi ako na buhaton(batanes to sulu)..hehehe. pero mamuti na lang uwak, magka GOLD na lang ta sa basketball sa olympics, maka launch na ta ug rocket sa outer space, mahetabo na ang first Filipino to walk on the moon, mahetabo na lang ang world war 3, mo abot na lang si jesus christ, wala gihapon free wifi sa atong nasud, free data henoon naa. hahahaha

technically speaking that free data is already wifi its called WWAN or Wireless Wide Area Network, its WiFi on a wide area network, i think the wifi you have in mind is pareha anang naa ka sa coffeshop or sa balay tawag ana kay WLAN o wireless local area network... kanang WWAN mao sad na gamiton sa govt though on different frequency spectrum...

yes, techinically pareha ra ang duha. but para sa mga ordinaryong tawo reha nako. data = wider area, sakay sa cellular network, limited and hinay, WLAN (wifi) = gamit router, mas pas pas, less ang coverage area. para ma distinguish ang duha, "data" sa mogamit cellular or phone network na wala router, "wifi" para sa pas pas ug para lesser coverage area.

then, sa thread. "wifi" mn gamit, ni assume ko na wifi na mo gamit ug router. hehehehe. sorry boss, mao ra na akong nasabtan.

as far as i know, sa USA(reference sa free "wifi" sa isa ka country), naa sila mga wifi hotspots for free. dili "data" kung dili "wifi" jud. ang nag provide sa hotspots ka'y ang comcast. pero di jud technically free. ka'y dapat subscriber mn ka sa comcast para maka avail ka sa "free" hotspots. hahahaha

so, maonasha....maka ingun ko na impossible mahetabo ang pangandoy natong mga uyamot. ka'y expensive mag maintain ug internet service for free. hehehehehe
