i think giving land is never the answer to these squatters. it sends the message that it is okay to squat because in the end you will get your own piece of land. i wish we would institute low cost condos instead like other countries. and instead of giving the units to them they should instead be rented out at low price for a set period of time in order to give time for them to stand up on their feet. its very unfair for those who opt to rent in proper places. besides land is becoming more and more valued considering that cebu city has a small land area.
