Job Description

We are looking for a Senior PHP developer who is dedicated to his craft, writes code that is proud of and can hit the ground running. We need you to write beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways and following the KISS method.

You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities

Write “clean”, well designed code
Produce detailed specifications
Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality with the KISS method in mind
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
Follow industry best practices
Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary (PHPUnit a plus)

Familiar with PHP frameworks especially Laravel, Zend framework a plus

Working with a team to develop simple optimized code

Take direction from CTO

MySQL and how to connect and manage database data and schemas using InnoDB and foreign keys constraints with proper indexing

Familiar with LAMP

Requirements

Proven software development experience in PHP
Understanding of open source projects like JQuery, PHPJS,
Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc
Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
Object oriented programming (OOP)
Experience in common third-party APIs (familiar with LimeLight and other CRMs a plua)
Confident in writing CronJobs
Knows the use of UML diagrams and how to implement code specific to UML designs
Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
Up-to-date on new programming features and technologies
Linux experience
Working in a team environment and project management
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or experience
