EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
● Willing to work night shift to support US and/or CAN business hours
● Bachelor's degree or higher; preferably in Business, Communication or Journalism.
● Knowledgeable in technical or business writing
● Has experience in editing/copyediting
● Strong English communication skills (written and oral)
● With strong Project Management Skills
● Some experience in layout/art direction (not required)
● Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
● Internet savvy/effective research skills
The Lexmark Bid Manager:
● Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFPs), or other proposal-related projects, to understand and note project goals, customer requirements, preparation and submission instructions, qualitative questionnaire(s), forms and appendices/addenda, and communicates findings and observations with the sales teams
● Initiates the creation of a proposal project plan and coordinates with sales leads on the development of response timelines; identifies the key members required to respond to a client proposal
● Maintains master document, solicits material from sales team, and sends drafts out to the sales team from time to time until completion (managing version control)
● Works with North America (NA) and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) sales and operational teams to develop individualized plans for executing Lexmark services for clients; coordinates with Subject Matter Experts from other internal organizations such as Legal, Research & Development, Marketing, Human Resources, etc. to gather information required for proposal responses
● Facilitates internal proposal reviews and ensures submitted proposals are compliant with corporate directives, and drives the internal approval process prior to submission
● Demonstrates high competency in copyediting and proofreading proposals to eliminate typos, grammatical errors and formatting issues before submission to the client
● Creates and formats the final version of the RFP response in accordance with client instructions
● Endorses trending client requirements and new information in support of content development
