Sa ako lang pud, mas maka benefit ang Lakers if the Buss siblings just take a step back and just be owners of the team. Pareha sa organizational structure sa Heat,Spurs,Clippers to name a few.

Micky Arrison,Peter Holt and Steve Balmer, they just write the checks. They have very minimal involvement when it comes to basketball operations. They just let Pat Riley,RC Buford and Doc Rivers do their thing.

Jim had his chance. He has been running the show since 2011. He has made a litany of questionable and sometimes stupid moves ever since.

Magic Johnson said it best, Jim Buss is too egotistical to seek assisstance to help the Lakers recruit free agents against rival teams. It seems he is obsessed to prove to everybody that he can turn the Lakers fortune around by himself.

i agree that jim buss did made some mistakes, but we should also remember that they also made good decisions. the chris paul trade as a great trade... it was not his fault that david stern rescinded that trade. the dwight howard trade was also a good move... and i agree that they could have created an environment that made dwight feel wanted and compel him to stay.

the point is, if for example the lakers have acquired three all star players this off-season, and they are on their way to a 40-50 win season... however they still weren't good enough to reach the conference finals. would you still support jeanie if she decides to fire jim and mitch because the team did not reach the ultimatum?

jeanie is a very emotional owner... she has indicated that she leaves the basketball operations to make basketball decisions, but i doubt if she is completely hands off in those decisions. in her book she admitted to being upset because the lakers did not hire phil back... (i have to admit, i was also upset with that decision) her being upset means that the basketball operations is not totally independent. it means that they make decisions, for as long as it doesn't conflict her emotions.

now there are rumors that jeanie wants byron to stay so that the team will suck again next season, and so she could bring phil back to the lakers. i don't want this to happen. this will be a disaster to the team.

as per magic johnson, he should not get in the way of the lakers basketball operations. i think magic has a hand in the hiring of byron scott... when d'antoni was still the coach, he keeps on criticizing jim buss, and d'antoni. now that byron is the coach, even if the team has worsed record in franchise history (with 17 wins) as compared to the time of d'antoni, he is very quite.. he doesn't even criticize jim buss anymore. he doesn't criticize byron... the way i see it, it was through his influence that byron was hired as the head coach.

Thats my point bro. Jeanie is emotional, Jim is egotistical. Thats their biggest flaw.

Bringing Phil back would have been the right thing to do. He was the right coach for that team they assembled. Phil also has the gravitas to attract great players. Jim did the complete opposite and hired Mike Brown just because he did not like Phil.

Anyway, there is no point to continue beating a dead horse. It will be interesting to see what happens this offseason.

What's the latest update for our Lakers? It's unusual to watch next season without the BlackMamba but it is what it is, time to move forward and get out a$$ess back to the Playoffs

wala pay decision bro kung i-fire ba si byron scott or dili... hulat pa sad ta inig may, para sa lottery. sugod na ta ug ampo nga ma-retain sa lakers ilang pick.

Hopefully they will change the Coach bro, I'm not really sold on Byron Scott I think there are still a lot more who are far more better than him, no disrespect to the former Laker but he is not really fit to coach the young Lakers =) Sureball na ta sa lottery(1-3 picks ni?)

dili sureball ang 1-3 picks sa lakers bro... 56% ra ang chance nga makuha nila ang 1-3 picks. ang advantage ra kung dili nila makuha ang 1-3 picks kay sa 2017 nga draft, naa na silay 1st round pick.
