It will work on your globe sim, however, before you buy check first if it will work. I tried using it before and when i updated my OS dli na magamit ang rsim.hope this helps.
i ma update ang ios nmo.. dli na jud mo work ang rsim?? kay ako na update nya no service namn ako Phone.. unsaon ni?? need help
There is awfully a lot of confusion going on between a software unlock and factory unlock iPhone.
When you buy an r-sim or x-sim or gevey sim or whatever sim, you are actually soft unlocking the iPhone. These soft unlocking sims are only capable of unlocking certain iOS versions (usually up to the latest available iOS version at that time). When your iPhone is unlocked, you can use it with any supported GSM carrier (SMART/Globe) base on your model.
The difference between soft and factory unlock is night and day. Soft unlock iPhones are unlocked temporarily so that when you try to upgrade/downgrade/re-flash any supported iOS version, your iPhone would lose the unlocked status and would be locked again. While you can easily do another soft unlock by inserting r-sim again, this is not entirely true specially when you upgrade to a higher iOS version. If the iOS version you're trying to upgrade is fairly new (one that wasn't available when you bought the r-sim), it will likely be unsupported and you will not be able to soft unlock your iPhone again after the update. You will have to look for a newer version of r-sim (you probably have to wait until one will be available) that would support the latest iOS version. This is the reason why it's called "soft" unlock; it's temporary.
On the other hand, factory unlocked iPhone will never ever become "locked" regardless of how many iOS update/re-flash/downgrade you do. It will stay unlocked and you will be able to use it with any supported carrier base on your iPhone model.
It's funny and almost stupid that some people in the buy and sell section would sell Globe or Smart locked iPhones at the same price as Factory unlocked ones. Did you know that it would cost you roughly 5K to 9K pesos to factory unlocked an iPhone? Always go for factory unlocked ones.
Sorry for the long read.
