Many was not concerned about his Intellect but probably based his faith on these text.

But as a true Christian he shouldn't be involved in politics, but at least he has a wink of standing up for his faith.

He championed faith as what pious ones would do,
but he could keep it within the confines of the faith sad to say we do have boundaries to keep if we would consider addressing the multitude. i.e. muslims will sometimes so disagreeing with Christians.
