As the title goes, there are alot of good docutainments out there and was wondering if you could recommend one for this community.

I'll start:

Documentary Title: Life in a day
Producer: Ridley Scott (Alien/Prometheus/The Martian)

basically, this is a crowd-sourced film about unscripted mashup of life on earth from different parts of the world. you could say this is a type of time capsule for future generations to see. It shows what its like to be human on every GPS point on earth. it's been out for quite some time and I would like to share for those who haven't checked this one out.





So, what would be your highly recommended docu-film?

video game company (Valve) documentary about the nits and grits of a professional gamer's life and how they end up being the rock stars of their genre and what it takes to get all that money pot.

Personal Note: they hire team managers,hold training camps, and health advisers just like any team sports do.

Might interest you:
What I consider two of the most interesting documentaries in recent years are Joshua Oppenheimer's double bill features:
The Act of Killing (2012) and The Look of Silence (2014). Watch The Act of Killing first.

Else, documentaries on the holocaust are aplenty. Two of the best are:
Night and Fog (1955) <-- Alain Resnais' poetic presentation juxtaposes savage images and videos shown in this very short 30 minute feature film
Shoah (1985) <-- In contrast to Resnais' super short doc, this Claude Lanzmann-directed doc is 10 hours and the most devastating in-depth look on this event.
