With all due respect to Roy Hibbert, I think the NBA game is evolving to a point where Roy's skill set and style of play is becoming almost irrelevant.

That was the reason why Indiana let him go. They wanted to go small and play at a faster pace.

As good as he is defending the paint, He is a liability playing against small ball line-ups and good teams are just going to make him guard the pick and roll everytime.

Roy can be a great pick up for a contending team though i think its unlikely given the amount of money he is making.

Agree ko nimo boss, pero depende pud na sa style sa offense, karon nga generation kay mostly mga fast pace na ang duwa and getting softer na pud =D but Im still hoping for he help the Lakers defense =D

roy is just not skilled enough... i don't believe that centers are irrelevant. centers just need to learn to be good passers and shoot well from the outside. if roy can play like demarcus cousins can, i doubt if you can still say that his style of play is irrelevant.

That's why I said almost irrelevant. Roy can still be useful in some certain situations like if teams go BIG. But good teams adjust when he is on the court so they go small and make him defend the pick and roll or defend a stretch 4 or 5.

I don't really understand what you mean, Roy Hibbert is Roy Hibbert. He is going to be 30 this year so he is who he is. He will never play or learn to play like DMC. DMC can dribble the ball, play back to the basket or face up,pass, defend and even shoots threes.

Roy Hibbert is an old school center and I doubt he'll start to go new school at this point of his career.

Roy would probably end the season with the lakers, and leave the team as an unrestricted free agent. i can't think of a team that would need his skill set. unless if mitch can wave that magic wand again and the lakers can get a very good value out of him.
