Basically, we have been created for God's glory, "to praise God, worship Him, to proclaim His greatness, and to accomplish His will."

But it's up to us to discover how or in what we we can best praise and glorify Him. Ang uban are called to be priests to glorify/accomplish His will, others are called to the business sector, others sa government service, others sa missionary work or NGO work, others as entertainers (like those Christian artists or those actors nga di eskandaloso ba but are inspiring). Kay not all of us can do the exact same kind of work for His glory man.

Each of us have different roles in life. The first thing we should do is know how best we can carry them out. Ang ilhanan is the thing that makes you feel most alive, most joyful, most you is the one that you are meant to do in this life.

So, are you doing what brings you great joy and passion? Note: joy and happiness are different. Joy remains, even in trials/problema galore. Happiness kay momentary ra, mahanaw dayon ug naay lain giatubang or mga pagsuway.

what kind of god needs to create mere mortals to praise and worship him? I do not mean to be rude, but I just do not understand that concept.

I think the answer to this is bordering on Theology na, and I am no theologian, so bear with me as I try to answer the question.

God created man out of His immense love. And love, if you have experienced it, tends to flow outwards. It is not in its nature to be contained. Out of love, He decided to make man so that we can experience His love, and all the good that there is.

If you're familiar with the creation story, you'll know that the paradise God wanted man to experience was "cut short" because man failed a test. As such, we now have to deal with a concupiscent nature and an imperfect existence. However, we are not left alone to our own devices without help. He has set up or provided various avenues that will help man reclaim or merit that ticket/return to paradise.

I recognize that no amount of explanation, not even a battallion of theologians, can make a person fully understand the concept if there's only an intellectual/mental engagement in the subject. The spiritual experience is quite a subjective one - it's a personal experience. And it's one that each one of us must undergo in our own different ways in order to finally understand it. Ergo, it needs to be experienced, not just explained, in order to be understood.

Keep mulling over that question. Your journey may take you to the path that will help you understand its answer more
