Default Need help with selecting new rams.

    Good day Istoryans!

Just need your input on selecting new rams.

    Specs: i7 3820 and Asus p9x79 deluxe

I am looking at 16 gig (4x4) or 32 gig, depending on the price.
I am looking at Corsair platinums or Corsair Vengeance pro only.

Please suggest which exact rams I should be getting since I do not know what to pick that will have no problem with my rig.

I will purchase this through amazon.com

Please help and THANKS in advance!

    UPDATE:

    Option1: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Domina...n%3A2253866011

    or

    Option2: Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 4 x 8GB DDR3 2400MHz C11 Memory Kit (CMY32GX3M4A2400C11R) at Amazon.com

Will these two work? If yes, which one is better?

Since your two options are virtually the same, except for the density and cost, the straight answer would be YES both will work just fine, and option #2 is better.

If the question was how much RAM do you need, then that would be not too straight forward to answer. Editing requires more RAM than gaming; so going for 32GB make sense if you are going to use your rig for heavy editing works. If you are particular with the cost difference, 16GB is more than enough, unless you have an application or a game that specifically requires more than 16GB of RAM. If you don't have issue with cost and physical memory limitations, then go for 32GB; it will come in handy in no time.

Finally! Someone answered and thanks! I ordered the 32 gig for more future options and it is cheaper too.
