Default emachines D725 running windows vista home basic to windows 8

Hello mga boss, I have an old emachines e725 running windows vista home basic. No issues whatsoever.

Planning to switch to windows 8 possible ba?

I checked windows 8 specs and ok man sad (I think).

I also ran windows 8 upgrade assistant and it listed 4 items that I need to review. Three were non essential to me (sidebar gadgets, playing dvd, mobile broadband device -- i just need to reinstall this).

    However one was this :
Secure Boot isn't compatible with your PC
Your PC's firmware doesn't support Secure Boot so you won't be able to use it in Windows 8.

Ok ra na if wala ra and secure boot?

I also checked company website for emachines d725 drivers and there were no drivers for windows 8, just windows 7. Ok ra ni? Or kailangan gyud nga naay drivers in case naay issues mo come up paghuman ug install?

Should I just install windows 7? Or still go with 8? I plan to just do a clean install.

Anybody has an experience updating an emachine D725 windows vista home basic to windows 8 (or 7 kung di pwede) please share.

    my laptop specs:

    emachines D725
    Windows Vista Home Basic
    Pentuim (R) Dual-Core CPU T4300@2.10GHz
    Memory (RAM) 1977MB
    System type 32-bit Operating System

    Thanks daan.

i used to own the same laptop. but personally, windows 7 is better compared to windows 8 or 8.1

back up your Current OS and try windows 8. if you have 4gb ram and higher, much better.

naay laptop/notebook na best with windows 7. mine actually came with vista when i bought it few years back. then I immediately installed windows 7.
