Thread: L.A. Lakers

^Biyombo would be ok but the team needs players who can create space for Russell and Randle to thrive. I love the work Hibbert has done but I'm now wishing the younger Gasol would come to L.A. It won't happen but its fun to dream. Haha.

A three-and-D SF is also a must have. A Trevor Ariza-type perhaps. Or the actual Trevor Ariza would be awesome. Haha. Sige nalang tg damgo ani..

It's hard to sell Durant walking away from the Thunder next season and if he would consider leaving, it won't be for a team that would still need 3-4 years to reach its potential. And Drummond is beasting on Stan's system, he's staying. Or he'll transfer to a ready contender.

It's hard to imagine but I think this team needs a major overhaul in the next seasons to come. Sure, they should chase those big-name players but after they fail (which they will..), they should rebuild the team from scratch and find a new identity. It's high time they start.
if you sell to these guys that if you sign here, he will also come here... then the problem is solved. hehehe!

32-year-old Lakers rookie has become one of the NBA's most entertaining players for all the wrong reasons

after seeing Porzingis having another big game , it's really hard now not to put a bust word on DAR. I know and i hope i'm wrong since it's to early but as you can see most of the rookies on the top 4 list have a big game and they have been torching the stat sheet. Also Scott should be remove, his old school approach is not anymore appealing and the system is totally lost. Scott also
contributed to the slow development of there rookies opting to play other players... So again another bad season , maybe this what Lakers management want's, to retain there top 3 protected pick.

At some level, I'm with you.. I'm very tempted to call DAR a bust.. But here are a few things i'm considering before calling him one:

    1. DAR is playing with a team who does not space well while back in college, he was surrounded by decent shooters.
    2. He's role is a mess. He's running point but on any given moment he'll be playing with at least 2 other ball-dominant players (Kobe, Williams, Young, Clarkson.. pick your poison). Hopefully, lineup changes can address this.
    3. Byron Scott is simply not giving him enough minutes. When Byron Scott sees a player getting hot, he takes them out. He's weird like that.
    4. The kid is 19. Let him play through this adversity before "Bust" banners start raising.

I saw this comment once on another forum suggesting Randle and Russell should be moved to the 2nd unit, letting them fight for their starting spot the way Jordan Clarkson did last season. It's a total about-face from letting them play all the minutes they can get but it could be worth a shot. Nothing makes a man fight harder than adversity.

mulang... kung ako si mitch, ako na gi-ilisan si scott. di na effective ang old school basketball sa NBA karon. kinahanglan sila ug maayo mo-motivate nga coach or maayo mo-implement sa modern basketball.
