Id also say the list is bs.

    Enermax revolution is not there
    seasonic M12II is tier 1?
Where is seasonic P and X series
enermax naxn 82+ dont deserve to be tier 2 (asian market models are crap)
Coolermaster vs series is tier 2 (again asian market models are mediocre at most)
Corsair AXi series dont belong in tier 1 (lots of known failures)

The original compiler may have been stricken with the brand bug or is totally unaware of the other regional models.

I'm not sure who is the compiler of this chart, i just found it somewhere online who is using it as their reference and always using this chart for recommending PSU's. I'm not a type of person who actually depends on chart ratings, but before buying components I always prefer checking on reviews, I always recommend everybody to check on reviews before buying it, even checked my PSU on Jonny Guru for PSU reviews. Even me personally, i found it BS listed on the chart as well. As I said, it may not be 100% accurate cuz' there are things we need to consider the features & functionalities of the product, etc etc. .

My main point of posting this thread is not to encourage users to be dependent on this chart on buying PSU's on the future but on reviews, also the frustration i had with 2 consecutive PSU's i have. .And also to give them an idea where their PSU is standing at (at least for starter users). That's why it's really important & wise to choose PSU on our RIG since this is a very crucial part since it's main function is to provide juice to our parts. .this is just what I am trying to deliver on this thread. .Well, we are all open to any ideas here, so any opinions are most welcome. .

Heads up to you though bro.

My personal criteria in choosing a psu is OEM not brand name. All psu oems for every model is listed at realhardtechx.

Personally id rank psus into tiers only as follows:

    Tier 1 excellent
    Seasonic
    Superflower
Enermax (as an oem, not as a brand, on models they manufacture themselves)
    Antec (same condition as Enermax)
    Sirtec

    Tier 2 solid performers
    FSP
    CWT
    Enhance
    Andyson

    Tier 3 value psus
    Hiper/Hipro/High Power
    Huntkey
    Seventeam
    Topower
    HEC/Sparkle
AcBel (have good server psus but ok atx psus)

    Tier 4 crap
    others not mentioned

(I might have skipped something so please comment anytime)

Theres also Solytech. I dont know where to position it as i have not encountered nor read about any of the psus they manufacrture.

    Bestech is crap.

Flextronics hasnt been in the industry long enough so i played safe by not ranking them. Their first venture with Corsair was modest at least.

Ah yes! I knew i missed a big one. Thanks!

About sirtec, im having doubts also whether to place it in 1 or 2. Now that you say so, i think ill place it in tier 2.

Thanks bro! I actually read the article from Realhardtechx about "UNDERSTANDING THE PSU REVIEW DATABASE" and it's really helpful.

It is definitely right, PSU is the most undervalued component when buying a computer, people just tend to prioritize on some other components like CPU, GPU, etc. .

Karon nga twice nako naka encounter aning PSU shutdown issue, i realized how important choosing your PSU on your RIG. .na tagam nako oi! Maybe that's just a sign moving forward I should choose the right one already. .

I didn't actually put so much importance on getting a PSU before and as long as it's a true rated 80+, supplies enough wattage to your RIG and get/buy the cheapest one and then you're good to go! But it isn't & am definitely wrong, cuz there are few things what we need to consider before buying one.

As they said, you get what you paid for.

How about Greatwall? Can it qualify for tier 3?
Many of the better korean surplus psus were made by them.

Tell you frankly, i seldom buy brand new psus nowadays as either the good ones are really expensive or the affordable ones are well, cheap inside. I like to scavenge surplus psus and seconds from users who usually have no idea about the psu they have. These seconds, i test and use for sometime, then decide whether its a keeper. Efficiency aside, youd be surprised how better at regulation these older psus are compared to new affordable psus.

(BTW, im hunting for an old Corsair VX450. Anyone who has it, please pm me. Infraction! Lol!)
