during Yolanda, Mayor Duterte may be one of the first if not the first Mayor to extend his help for the survivors.... Police force and food items ang gihatag ni mayor...and when some of my relatives went to Davao for shelter, Mayor Duterte welcomed them with open arms... as in naa sila'y money na nadawat, relief goods, Christmas party, even stress debriefing... lahi ra jud ang pagdala niya sa survivors, makatao jud.. so my respect and my vote would go to Mayor Duterte...if di mudagan, di nalang ko mubutos,....sayang ra kapoy kapoy ug pila ....

Boss, how much time do you spend in Luzon? How can you say nga ubos kaayo ug panan-aw natong mga bisdak?
I am regularly assigned here in Luzon for months, I work with a lot of different people of all levels in the company, there is no systemic "look-down" on bisdaks. I work with a lot of contractors and I liaise with several vendor representatives, again, I can't really feel that tagalogs look down upon bisdaks. It's just not real.
However, I can find tagalogs who think of bisdaks as 2nd rate citizens of this country. But these are the tagalogs that are less educated, uninformed and those that have never traveled to Visayas and Mindanao parts before.

And Rody Duterte has started to gain traction here in Luzon among the locals. He is still a virtual unknown but at least, he is now included in the discussion.
