better man gani ang G3258 on autoCAD kun mag 2D lang then occasional 3D rendering (but for sure, ma ugtas ang user kun dual core lang on 3D rendering)... but kun serious 3D rendering work load na gani diri na mo matter ang more cores. this statement was based on my hands-on on the different intel CPUs as i've mentioned above... the i7-3770 (non-K running @ stock) was better compared to my heavily OC'ed i5-2550K running @ 4.6 GHz (all 4 cores) in autoCAD 2013 & 2014 3D rendering... wla lang nako ni magamit ang Xeon E3-1230 V2 nako for comparison kay gitapol ko pag bakasyon... pwerte ka bz... but for sure, it will perform similary on the i7-3770... mao raman ni sila sa CPU. micro-code lang gi usab...

wala ko mo suggest ug dual Xeon (E5 & E7 series) para ni TS hap, nag mention lang ko na kun mag render in autoCAD on ray tracer, gamit ang tanan cores sa dual Xeon and the time spent in 3D rendering will be lesser. sa negosyo, "Time is Money"... so, mabawi ra ang cost sa workstation. mao man ni ang main purpose man pud nya, money generating...

now on the GPU, as i've mentioned on the 1st page, bang for the money ang GTX 750 Ti kun mag intel and R7 260X (or HD 7790) kun mag AMD. these 2 are better performing on autoCAD work load ug barato ra pud ni sila... ang performance nila very good in 2D and very reasonable on 3D...

even intel's iGPU can be used in 2D autoCAD drafting man pud pero kun daghan complicated na ang 2D drawing, mura'g ma bitin na sya... simple 2D drafting work load, kaya ra gyud kaayo...

Igo raman ko gipa research ug Specs if which is needed.

Mag 3D rendering man jud daw sila but wala sad sila ka sulti if permi.

    Thanks again sa mga reply.

for our reference, here's a link for Ray Tracing in AutoCAD... as i've mentioned on my previous post, sa ani na work load, diri hutdon sa AutoCAD ang tanan available cores... both physical and hyperthreading... maong, in business and serious work load, kay CPU bound man ning Ray Tracing on AutoCAD, diri mo matter and mga multi-CPUs... dual Xeons and Rendering farms...

Ray-traced Reflections and Refractions | Autodesk Exchange AutoCAD Architecture

but then again, this "may" or "may not" be applicable on the 3D rendering work load sa company ni TS. this is for the sake of the discussion on AutoCAD rendering.

now, hinay ug gasto gyud ning mag render gamit CPU lang. it would be best na mag gamit ug rendering apps na mo utilize ug CUDA. multi-Nvidia GPU rendering is super fast (given na mo support nya ang rendering apps). we can refer to the other discussion thread specially, on the posts (3d rendering/animation discussion) by bro i.draw.fast in particular. but it will boil down to the "budget" that the company would shell-out according to their needs...

grats diay TS, naka palit naman diay ang company sa rig para ani... focus na sa AutoCAD work load ang mo gamit ani... hehehe...
