hasty generalizations ey? what we need is a strict enforcement of the law on hazing. If you ban frats, they'll just go underground without needing to

Why rant it on fraternities when gangs and some other groups are more notorious yet we don't hear much from them? We give bandaid solutions yet at the back of our minds we're sure that deaths caused by hazing will still be there. The way I see it, the abolition of fraternities is just a mere "solution" so the people will see that at least they're doing something. A very hypocrite act.

it is quite inappropriate to blame it on the fraternity as a whole, yet acts of violence are caused by individuals belonging to a certain fraternity. this is something that is very debatable. but yes, i agree on the whole notion that abolition of fraternities is difficult or near impossible.

With this, I assume that those persons, especially Miriam Santiago knows that too. We don't know what's her real catch here but for sure the abolition of fraternities will no way can solve the hazing problems, and she knows that too. She's probably very mad because of the death of Chris Mendez and it's not only her who feels that way towards the responsible fratmen of Sigma Rho. There's nothing wrong to get mad but if she'll try to give solutions merely by basing on how she feels, then it's not right and rational either.

I would AGREE on this MEDIA HYPE and SENSATIONALIZED ISSUE of yours because you are exprfessing it towards the HAZING ISSUE which is not new either . Now that is FRAT RELATED because it is SANCTIONED by the FRAT .

But then take note also ... for everyones C ONSUMPTION , FRAT SANCTIONED refers to the INITIATION RITE , physical injury is another .

they dont give licenses to gangs.. therefore its their obligation to regulate actions within licensed fraternities..

Naa man to forums sa UP na mo counter ang mga FRATMEN why they should not be ABOLISHED . I am pretty sure tubagon ra pod na nila , unaha na ug ABOLISHED ang mga TRAPO na PUBLIC SERVANTS and POLITICIANS ... but then again that is IMPOSSIBLE and will never happen . Just like the FRATERNITIES . Ma regulate but never ma abolish .
