In celebration of the country’s day of freedom, Ayala Center Cebu goes loud and proud with a series of events and fun activities at the annual "Local Love." Witness entertainment at its finest with Cebu’s talented artists and explore a variety of products that are locally made.
Today, June 12, 6p.m. at The Terraces, celebrate the 117th Philippine Independence Day with Kagawasan 2015, a musical festivity showcasing the rich and diverse culture of the different regions of the Philippines. Witness performances from the Cordillera Suite that feature chants and songs of the Cordillera, Maria Clara Suite of Luzon, OPM Hits, Mindanao Suite, Visayan Suite, Visayan Medley, Cebuano Songs and Sinulog sa Sugbo. Catch other Cebuano performers such as Univeristy of the Visayas Folkloric Dance Troupe, Abellana National School Dance Troupe, University of the Philippines Foundation Dance Troupe, Knapsack Dancers, Cebu Normal University Children and Youth Choir, Sinulog Idols, and the lovely ladies of Miss Cebu 2015.
Form June 12 to 14, visit the Modern Day Heroes’ exhibit at the level 2 of the mall’s expansion wing, near Mango kids. Learn more about the country’s front liners through an informative display of the military services of the PNP, AFP, and the Philippine Navy. Also happening on Independence Day weekend at The Terraces, Pahugyaw sa Kabukiran, a festival of Cebu City’s mountain barangays, will be showcasing its local produce during the Ani sa Kabukiran where products like mais sa Busay and other fresh picks will be available.
Ongoing until June 17, check out the Proudly Pinoy exhibit at the level 1 of Ayala Center Cebu’s rotunda area and discover superior Pinoy craftsmanship with a wide array of export items that are made in the Philippines.
Every Wednesday of June at the Level 4 Garden Roof Deck at the new wing of Ayala Center Cebu, listen to the greatest OPM hits in unique bossa nova and jazz arrangements at 'Musikang Pinoy'.
