I once saw a casing intended for server use. It has two 4" 5-blade fan in front and also two at the back. The fans it use are the one found in equipment racks. It consumes 220VAC 2A. Mura eroplano iya casing kung naka on.

Big disadvantage of air cooling is noise and dust.

hehehe... pero dili man na vacuum imong casing right? and the air that is sucked out from inside your case, happens to be the hot air... mao na imong gusto ipagawas...

try pointing all your fans pa gawas sa case dba mo init samot imo system kay tungod wa na may hangin sa sod na vacuum na man pagawas. try pointing all your fans inward dba mao japon kay la may ka gawasan sa hot air. mao mas importante how the air flows in your system though ang volume sa hangin nga mo flow sa imo system importante pud kay ang hangin man mo absorb sa init so the more ang air the more pud ma transferan sa init from your system but not to the point nga ma compromise nimo ang intake og pag exhaust sa hangin

akong case puro pareho ana kadako ang side fans.. ang resulta -- mas lower ang CPU temp compare sa ambient temp basta idle kay directly after sa dako nga fan kay higop man dayun sa TTBigTyphoon. Ideal ang dagko nga fan kay hilom pero dako airflow. kung imo pakusgan ang RPM.. dili whirring ang sound nga imo madungog instead humming. its a very very low humming sound.

unsa imong gigamit pagbasa temps?
basin sayop na imong readings bro...

Tjunction is always higher than Tcase... and Tcase is alwasy higher than ambient...
that is why Tcase temps can never be lower than ambient...

I know it's weird. kind of impossible. kabalo pud ko mo basa sa temps oist. mao bitaw ako gi emphasize nga "idle" temp. coz if load temp.. natural mas taas ang CPU. I have a theory though why it could happen. I think that the sensor for the system temp might not be directly hit by the fan and heat could accumulate on that area, on the other hand, the CPU is pretty much directly in the path of the giant fan with the additional 120mm fan directly sucking COOL air to the CPU.. then it is possible. What you are talking about usually happens on a closed air cooling system.

as you can see.. maintain niya ang case temp mapa load or idle.. which means maayu circulation sulod sa case.. although i only run orthos for less than a minute.. it would increase in temp if i had it running longer.

ps. ang processor nako is Core 2 E4300 (downgrade from E6300) pinaka luoy sa tanang core 2 huhuhu.

bro... use core temp to read the temp of the Tjunction... and kung unsa man gani ang reading... minus 10 na siya... mao na dayon na siya tinuod nga temp sa imong processor sa Tcase.

heheh kanang imong minus 10 dili kana applicable sa tanan wui. it's usually around 10-15c delta depending on stepping. Now i know ngano wala ta mag ka sinabot -- wala ta mag ka sinabot sa mga terms. when i was talking about case temp -- i mean it like it is -- temperature inside the case (kay ga hisgot man ta about sa usa ka computer case) and not the Tcase sensor which is the on-die sensor located between the two cores inside the core 2 processor. Also when i was talking about ambient temp.. i mean it as the temperature inside the case (ambient temp should have been the room temp) . I'm not sure what my mobo monitor is taking it's temp.. but i have a hunch it's also built in to the motherboard. I'm pretty sure that it is not getting it's data for the case temperature from Tcase though. Maybe that will clear things a bit.
