unless carlos signs for the veterans minimum, there might be a chance hell be back.

i think the lakers is better off trading the 27th and 34th picks for veterans... imagine if you have randle, clarkson plus the number 2 pick, then you have kobe, it doesn't feel right to add two more rookies to the roster.

we don't need more rookies. we need solid role players. the glue guys. we need a consistent shooter like a kyle korver and we need a defensive specialist on the wing that can shoot threes like a corey brewer or a trevor ariza heck houston has them.

They cannot get a respectable FA with the 27th and 34th. I say, keep the pick. Re-sign Wes, Price, Black. Sign 1 All-star caliber FA or 2-3 role players. Again, they cannot get a respectable FA with the 27th and the 34th without losing more assets.

if the lakers are to contend for the playoff. they need veteran players... they can find respectable disgruntled free agents for the 27th and 34th pick. teams will accept picks for disgruntled players.

i doubt if they still want to sign wesley johnson after his performance this season. byron did not like his game...

more rookies on the roster = rebuilding mode

add more veterans instead of rookies = playoff contention
