1) Old core i7 quad core $160 (daan na ni still running windows7
but barato mangud and gatan-aw ko benches murag kusog man gyapon)

2) New core i7 dual core $370

US ni cya. I have relatives coming home mangud.

Both are brand new units.

dili cya 2nd hand bro. both are brand new units. its just that old model ang kaning barato. but nag lantaw mangud ko benchmarks between the two murag kusog-kusog man gyapon ang cheaper one.

You are not so much into the portability because if you were, you would have gone 14/13.3inch, correct? If that is correct, the answer is an easy - the former.

210usd is just too much to ignore. And too much compensation for a) the slightly faster processor
b) the small difference in weight
c) the longer battery life

pro on the first laptop - gt540m. More capable for occasional games.

yup. not so much on the portability. kay i work online using a 22" monitor. if i need to work sa laptop, gamay ra kaayo para sa ako ang 14" and below. Thanx for your input bro keropi.
