Default AMLC: A Powerful Tool Against Corruption Exposed Binay. Who's Next Para Ihawon? Let's vote!

Finally, AMLC is doing it's job! Out of all Government agencies and institutions, I believe AMLC is the strongest device against corruption if it does it's job properly. No one can hide from this. We got Erap, the Arroyos, Chief Justice Corona, and now Binay. All because of the new reformed AMLC. Now, who's next? You can add your candidate if they're not in the poll list. By the way to avoid controversies, the list doesn't confirm that these families are corrupt. They are only selected because of being ranked as RP's most popular dynasties.

AMLC: Binay, allies deposits reach P11B | Inquirer News

More than P600 million in cash was deposited in the bank accounts of alleged dummies of Vice President Jejomar Binay in various transactions in a single day, according to the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) report to the Court of Appeals (CA).
The report was part of the AMLC petition to the court to freeze 242 bank accounts, securities and insurance papers of Binay, his family and his suspected dummies, which was granted on Monday ex parte, or without hearing. It is valid for six months and is aimed at preserving assets pending investigation of corruption charges against Binay while he was mayor of Makati City, mainly stemming from the alleged overpriced Makati City Hall Building II...

Sadly they are still quite effective only caught because of money laundering, I could say that we need more undertakings to fight corruption, these monsters are quite became united when it comes to plundering the country for their accumulation of wealth, most noted are the LGU's who stashed less during the Aquino administration backed by the business sector who goes with the flow what the corrupt politicians devises. No wonder with the allegation of corruption Nog2x binay is still leading the surveys at 37%. I've spoken with one guy from the NCR and he said that he is for binay and what now transpire are just political maneuvers and manipulation created by his opponent, that astounds me and pondered that it would be difficult for us in reaching that good somewhere. It's difficult though but I'm still optimistic that it is still quite reachable.

I agree. But AMLC was formed on 2001, got neglected, misused, and overlooked by some government officials. Because these politicians think it was too weak and ineffective.

But in 2012, it was strengthened. Republic Act No. 10365 | Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines

It will be very difficult, but to anyone who steals/harbors huge amounts of money, you need to stash it somewhere. You can't place it in a barn, attic or a basement where bugs can chew on them. It needs to be deposited in some bank, and this is how AMLA can do it's job.

Yes I agree that AMLC is already strengthen as a vanguard against elicit money flows and I'm hoping that the PCGG and the likes will be strengthened as well. A strong welled, pro people principled, and righteous governance is what we need also to effectively obliterate corruption, the present administration now is quite lacking evident with the success of binay and his family under the nose of Abnoy.

Bearer bonds issuance to private corporations or individuals have been curtailed. Due to high tax evasion cases, anti-money laundering law in 2001.
