Boss not sure if you've done this?

Initial water cycle... Pag establish sa good bacteria sa imu aquarium and sa imu filter... usuallu takes 2-3 weeks... google lang of wla pa...

I think Red Cherry Shrimps na (i could be wrong)... Imu gamit is gravel? might make your water very hard... Para nako very important ni sa health sa fish and inverts in a tank... Also ang Plants, use the ones that are suited for gravel... Most would be fine, pro hinay ang tubo or malanay so really choose plants suited sa imu water parameters...

Another ako ma suggest is when planting, butangi ug daghan plant na daan... kay if daghan plants daan it will use up all of the waters nutrients, mas ma avoid nimu ang algae bloom in that way...

Another thing i've learned... Ang pina ka important sa fish tank is ang quality sa water and then lights if naa ka plants...
Matud pa sa uban, fishes couldn't care less about the decors you put in a tank and or the placements of plants, rocks and wood... Basta lang ma buhi cla, so really pina ka priority jud dapat ang living things in it na ma buhi cla ug maayo... Then if ok na, that's when you adjust to make it look good para sad ma satisfy sad ka sa look sa imu tank...

waaa sir, first of all salamat kaau sa mga tips jd! I really really appreciate it.

wala jd ko khibaw nga kelangan diay i cycle ang tank water. i may do this hinay2 and hopefully mu survive ako shrimpies while I do this. if dili sila ka survive, i might cycle the tank pd then buy a fresh stock.

uu, nagpa scape ra mn pd ko'g hobbyist, nya gravel ra iya gigamit since wala mn ko ka buy ug decent substrate when i went to buy his aquaplants. for my plant growth, mu recommend ka sir nga mag dose ko'g excel? i read from some searches nga makatabang daw na.. i don't want to set up a CO2 tank for my nano tank mn gd hehe..

cge sir, i will visit piper's para sa pang butang filter, thanks..

cge sir, murag nkabantay ko nga naa na gamay nga algae bloom, kanang transparent nga film like thingie, specially from the excess food.. ga basa2 ko somewhere, and the lazy method for algae bloom is kanang floating plants, so basin mupalit ko'g ing-ana pohon.. hope that will be enough. i heard of the blackout method, pero basin mamatay pd ako plants..

cge cge sir, noted pd imu last advice.. mga 1-2 months pa mn guro ni before maklaro mga tanom hehe..

CO2 Tank vs. Excel vs. None...

If naa ka CO2 tank mas easier ang life, hehehe... and mas daghan types of plants na you would be able to choose from... Also plants mu tubo perte ka pas2x. sometimes too fast...
Excel nindot japon but mahal bya ang excel, and mag cge ka dose every other day... Pas2x japon tubo sa plants but not as fast as having a CO2 tank...
None - not having CO2 tanks and/or excel dose doesn't mean dli naka maka planted, there are plants na dli kaayo mo require ug CO2... Naa mga plants dli kaayo pa presyo, hehehe...

having a CO2 tank also doesn't guarantee good growth, kay if ang lights sa tank hinay... So dli japon maka photosynthesize properly ang plant which mean dli nya ma absorb ang CO2...

For me ha the best way is to make sure there are no excess nutrients for the algae to feed on... Lights are right spectrum and brightness, dli excess ang food ihatag and dli sad excess ang fertz... Also i have shrimps in my tank and SAEs hehehe... They feed on some types of algae...

Two words lang guro, research and balance...

Good luck!

waaaa thanks again sa tips sir.. since di mn ko gnahan mag setup ug co2 tank (space issues), took ur advice purchased a 100ml bottle sa seachem flourish excel from piper's.. gamay ra ako dosing every other day kay naa mn gd pd shrimpies. may nalang naa, hihi.. better than nothing hehe..

    ---

and if naa mo ma suggest asa kapalit ug affordable nga moss/marimo ball?
oh, and last, if asa ta kakita aning talisay tree duol sa banilad haha, kay nakabasa ko nga nice daw iya fallen leaves (indian almond leaves, para sosyal)para pa lower sa PH sa planted tank setup, plus makaon pa jd sa shrimpies, hehe.. ang naa ra dire's bhaws kay magtalisay mn haha..
