Exactly bro. Mogawas na gyud ang broadwell. About time ive had enough fooling-around with my G3258. Kaluoy pud nya kay panakip-butas lang diay sya. Hehe!
Lage pirteng baratoha jd bro, pero I think it's not worth it to get the 3770k + ecs bundle kay after a few years mo oldie napd na sya inig gawas sa new cpu's so depreciated na gud kaayo ang price and magpanikad na pd og upgrade once naa napd bag-o mo release, . huwat nlng sa Broadwell bro, it's a nice jump or upgrade from your architecture.

i do have a haswell setup now. I wouldve bought the ivy promo if wala ko ana na rig. And i believe its not old. Even after mogawas ang broadwell. Only 10-15% increase is not enough to make it old. Im saying this because with my i5-760, i dont feel it being old. I have a special attachment to this old rig and i makafeel tanang glitches nya pareha sa sakyanan ba. So kibaw ta kung asa ang naay sala.

For those planning to move from a lynnfield to a G3258, forget it. Contrary to what others say, it is not a sidegrade but a downgrade instead. Even @4.4ghz. So moving to an i3 doesnt make it much of an upgrade either kay di man sila maglayo sa OC pentium G. Gaming is as reviews say, ok. Average fps might be acceptable pero daghan ug freeze frames especially at bf4.

So i went ahead and checked reviews, and indeed as i suspected frametimes were very high.

    Lesson for this:

If you cannot afford an i5 broadwell, better to look for haswell/ivy or even sandys on sale rather than get an i3.

    Right on sir!

Dili kinahanglan na always new imo hardware if naa new na i release.

My old procie was an i5 760 also same as @keropi (made couple of posts here also sa previous pages). Already upgraded to i5 4760K and honestly d kaau nako ma feel kung unsa gyud ang kausaban gawas kung magsige ko ug benchmark, pero i dont do benchmarks.

I have a different perception in mind man gud bro. I am a guy who always upgrade my hardware parts whatever the cost is, even if there is just a small performance increase "I really don't mind that much". That's why this so called "upgraditis" is on my side. I am a type of guy who is always after on the technology, if there is 1 architecture i am left, i feel i am left behind already and not taking advantage with the latest offering. That's why I think for me is not worth it but it's already cheap offering already, "lahi2 man ta ninyo og huna2", cuz what i'm thinking differs from other enthusiasts also. It is maybe because I don't like that much if it's an old hardware already but it doesn't mean i don't appreciate it, it is still nice to have, but it is much nicer to have the latest one.

Well kita ninyo mga enthusiasts lahi2 man gyud ta, there are those nga who value much of their hardware and can't easily let go what they have, and after a few years mo barato ra diay, dako kaayo ang depreciation sa price, and if it's not a worth upgrade on the new architecture and there is only a small performance increase, so sometimes we need to keep our hardware and wait for another release w/c our current hardware is already behind.

Lahi man gud ko, "dali rako pul-anon, dali ra pd ko masuya", I think nobody can blame mo on that. Kani nga hobby and passion gastos gyud kaayo, so whatever latest offering today, I'm always taking advantage of it, because the future is today, and tomorrow your hardware will be left behind kay naa napd bag-o release and magpanikad napd ka sa upgrade.

I agree with you bro "Updatedness doesnt spell performance". But I'm a type of guy who always "wants to have".

agree ko ani, hahaha! in fact naa pa ko ani nga urge pero financials is holding me back... lisud ning naa natay kumander gud, hahaha!

kung maka palit man ko, naay guilt feeling inig human kay savings na unta or pang dungag sa investment na unta toh...

like now, on the way na akong Noctua NH-U9S, excited ko nga guilty kay tagaktak nasad almost 3k...

by the way, Skylake could just be another incremental upgrade... doesn't seem too exciting so if you guys can get Devil's Canyon on sale, i'd say go for it...

Right now, i dont have the urge to buy impulsively. Except if its a very cheap gpu or a rare/cheap psu i want to test.
I can hold back easily on new cpu/boards kay gamay raman ug gain and petrol-guzzling top-tier gpus kay maglisod ug pabugnaw amo aircon. Hehe!

kaning gyu'ng mga barato na GPU, maka yabag... like diri ai... mega gggrrrr... dili lang gyud ta patintal usa ani nila kay gasto kaayo... hehehe...
