ahahahahahaha... bright gyud kaayo ni's bro wylliexhan... yup, there no 750W on the VS series... sugod ang 750W sa CX series to HXi series. then 760W na from AX to AXi series... catchy question lang na... ehehehehe... but sa price na 4K, barato ra na... diri, ang CX750W kay nag range ug 659 ~ 699 rmb (around 4.8K ~ 4.9K php)...
balik ta's inquiry ni TS... for that Asus GTX 970 Strix on single GPU configuration, kaaya ra kaayo na's 500W true rated PSU (even a 450W true rated PSU will do) bisan i-OC pa na'g maayo sya plus a heavy OC'ed CPU... kun mag SLI, to be on the safe side, minimum would be 650W ... 750W would be better... dako ni'g headroom... more than this is already too much...
kaning GTX 970, maguwang lang gyud ni sya'g gamay sa GTX 670 and more or less, the same league ni ang 970 (reference) sa oldy HD 6950 1GB in terms of power consumption based sa reviews... taas2x gamay ang kaon sa Asus Strix kay factory OC'ed variant man ni sya... but not that much ra gihapon... dako pa kaon nya ang R9 270x reference design...

ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Strix review - Hardware Setup | Power Consumption
if mag SLI ka TS, for benchmark lang... my gaming rig here used Corsair's TX750W and provides the needed juice to power the following... softwares ani nya kay Win7 ug games ra gyud... nothing else... purely, for gaming ra ni sya nko... my personal sleeping pill... harharharhar......
> cpu: i5-2550K... OC'ed to 4.6 GHz normal speed (daily operation)
> gpu: Yeston GTX 670 (reference design) on 2-way SLI... manual OC'ed w/ 10% on both core and mem freqs
> mobo: Asrock Fatality Z77 Professional
> hdd: WD Caviar Blue 320 GB 7200 rpm desktop drive
> ssd: OCZ 80 GB (OS only)
> cpu cooling system: Antec Khuler H2O 920 w/ 2 x Corsair SP120 HPE fans (2,350 rpm each)
> mem modules: 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) Kingston HyperX beast (1600 MHz stock)... OC'ed to 2133 MHz
> intake and exhaust fans: 4 x 120 mm led lit @ 1,200 rpm each
> psu: Corsair TX750W
dako pa kaayo'g headroom ang 750W PSU gyud...

take note TS,that gpu feeds on an 8-pin PCI-e connector....check before buying.
^ korekens...
Asus GTX 970 Strix w/ cooling system removed...
gigamit gyud ang single 8 pin PCIe power for this GTX 970 Strix... naka hinumdum man hinoon ko atong discussion diri's istorya sauna na akoang tan-aw, kun mo gawas ang GTX 960 Ti, mag single 8 pin sya... just like the old Zotac GTS 250... pero, no idea kun ma release ang 960 Ti pud... wait and see lang ta...
Gahi man sad ning uban 500w. Naa ko core i5 with gtx 580, kadaog ra man.
Dili lang ko mag OC or add daghan kaayo abobot kay BARE MINIMUM ra ang 500w. Better get higher wattage kay mag OC ang TS.
katong gamit ni bro keropi sa GTX 680 ug i5 (1st gen) heavy OC'ed was a 420W true rated PSU... the GTX 680 reference @ stock speed needs more power compared to an Asus GTX 970 Strix...
pero, dili man hinoon problema kun dako-on daan ang PSU... kaso lang, mag bayad tag mahal then dili nato ma enjoy ang efficiency nya... but, kun mag OC, aws, pyt kay kumbate gyud kaayo... dili na bitaw kuyaw ron ang OC'ing... unlike the yesteryears kay kun masayop, aw, hagtos. karon, mo throttle down ra man ang both CPU and GPU basta dili na makaya nila ang OC'ed setting... ang PSU lang ang kuyaw kay basin, hatagan ug spike ang DC loads... na, naa gyu'y ma sikwakoy... hehehe...
for your GTX 580, more than 270W mana sya during full load... dako man gyud to'g kaon ang Fermi series man gud... not efficient to sila... ang 500W PSU, gamay na lang ug head room nya labi na, gamitan ug CPU pud na power sucker... hehehe... by the way, gamit pa nimo ang 580 for rendering? nice man ni sila for computation dba? better performing ni sila ug double precision (OpenCL)... downside lang gyud kay power hungry ni na generation...

im using corsair tx750 for 6years already. solid kaayo powering my gtx 970.
if nadayon ko ug baligya sa ako whole set for an itx build, i would have bought
corsair rm750. naibog ko ani niya kay modular and flat low profile iyaha cables.
