Help me about AMD vs Intel and core duo & core 2

hi peeps, m planning to buy laptop, and im confuse as to what kind of processor to buy...pls help me on these matter
1. Difference between AMD and intel
2. whats the equivalent of core duo/ core 2 duo of intel to AMD?
3. whats the difference betwen core 2 and core duo
4. did read about 64 bit in core 2 and 32 bit in core duo...what are they?
5. help me decide what to buy?

i dont know sa laptop bai, but in PC, AMD kusog mu init and kusog mukaon kuryente compare to Intel

1. intel nowadays are way too good for OCing, in your case since laptop ang imong need. either CPU will do
2. dili na kaau ma-compare kay nindut na kaau ang intel karon.
3. there is no core duo and core 2, basin core 2 dou ug dual core imong pasabot. C2D is much faster and better compared to dual core
4. 64bit - these are applications for your PC... (sorry, wala kaau ko naswito ani)
5. amd or intel, either CPU is already a good choice.

asa man ka gikan ani nga information bro? murag naay deperensya... AMD is better in terms of energy efficiency compared to intel processors... AMD processors ang naay pinaka hinay mokaon ug kuryente when idle... but dili kaayo siya efficient inig abot na sa load... ang intel, they are better at load energy consumption, pero mas kusog mokaon ug kuryente ilang processor at idle...

so kung laptop... i think, better ang AMD processors... kay minimal ra man kaayo imong processor usage sa laptop.

- amd and intel are both makers of processors, they are competing against each other
examples of amd processors: athlon xp, athlon 64, athlon 64 x2, sempron, turion
examples of intel processors: pentium 4, pentium d, core duo, core solo, core 2 duo, pentium m, celeron

- d ko sure ug unsa jud equivalent nila basta what i know is ang core duo and core 2 duo are dual core processors, and sa amd ako nahibal-an kay turion ang dual core processors nila

3. whats the difference betwen core 2 and core duo
- sa ako nabasahan, ang core duo ang mas una nigawas and mao ni siya ang precursor sa core 2 duo. core duo is only 32 bit while core 2 duo is 64 bit. some core duo processors have one of the cores disabled and it is called core solo. lahi jud ang core duo ug core 2 duo. ang mas kusog jud is the core 2 duo.

4. did read about 64 bit in core 2 and 32 bit in core duo...what are they?
- dili ko sure pero basin ang 32bit processors dili ka-run or have difficulty running 64bit operating system like vista 64bit.

5. help me decide what to buy?
- if ganahan ka kusog jud, ako ika suggest core 2 duo. kanang at least 1gig ddr2 nga memory. and a good video card.

the difference is core duo lang siya instead of core 2 duo
unya walay vista operating system

pero mu depend lang jud na sa budget nimo becoz there are endless options.

i suggest dont go for budget brands like neo. really have a bad experience becoz barato rakaayo and ok ra performance pero the lcd was really really really low quality.
maygani nisugot ang tindero ako pailisan ug desktop nga with lcd.

Are you referring to Athlon, Athlon 64, Athlon X2 or the K6, K6-2?


This was the sort of advice people used to give around 5 years ago.. katong Pentium II/III days pa... And then there was the Pentium IV...

hahaha... you'll definitely go wrong with the power consumption of a quadcore... naa na bay laptop nga quadcore? hehehe murag wala pa man tingali... ang imong batery ana, murag 30minutes ra tingali drain na dayon hehehe.
