masskara is different from sinulog in a way that its just a festival, merry-making, street dancing, parties minus the religious related traditions and stuff. there is no patron saint or any symbolic image in the festival, just a way of donning/showcasing masks that symbolizes the diverse and happy faces of bacolod folks. the city is dubbed as "the city of smiles" after all.

dont get me wrong.. im not comparing the festivities or the tradition, im just merely citing the exp i had to which is MORE FUN.. I still love masskara and the city it self... i know the difference between sinulog and masskara, its just the FUN and the party i mean that i might have forgot to stress out... my opinion doesnt speak for the entire people, its merely my opinion..

I would suggest this route since it's faster (only 6 hrs from Cebu to Bacolod compared to the 8hrs trip via Toledo/San Carlos), the views are amazing as well.

If anyone out there is planning to visit places outside of Bacolod, I suggest visiting the St. Joseph the Worker Parish Church in Victorias City (my hometown!) just 45 minutes away from Bacolod. I believe it is the only church in the world that has a picture/mural of an "Angry Christ".

    Cheers!
pasabta daw ko 6 hrs na byahe bro?
