essentially cat 6 cables have more "twists per inch" than cat 5 cables..

Gigabit network - is targeting nodes with high bandwitdh request such as an uplink, a CAD, Graphics, video editing end pionts etc., basically the physical media wont change much, you can still use CAT5 and above.. (the higher the specs better performance). Distance for a gigabit network does not change with fast ethernet still 100 meters max, you can still used the 4 pair UTM cable, but if you want to increase the distance you can use fiber cable at gigabit speed, with different connector such as MTRJ, LC, ST etc. mainly fiber in gigabit networks are used in uplinks.

10G networks is actually available na since 1999, active and Posive components is ready, cost is the only issue

1. rj45 ra khapon ang plug ani?
2. pwede ra cat 5e na cable gamiton?
3. same ra ug pinouts sa ordinary networking?
4. pilay max range sa cable (not to loss its signal) ?

tubag sa imo tanan pangutana: Yes. Recommended range is still the same but nobody can stop you if you want longer than 100. Some tests prove that 300meters still work fine.
tips: for patch cables chose braided/stranded cables instead of the solid copper wire. this is for flexibility. solid copper wires for the regular cables though. so far ang highest standard pa karon is cat 5e. kanang cat 6 and above is not yet a standard. it's like ddr 1333 <-- which is actually just an overclocked ddr-800 because the standard max ddr2 is up to ddr2-800 only.
