Di kaayo, very seldom. But makasaligan iyang jumpshot labi na kung open. But he hit a big three in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter in Welcoat's 91-94 loss against the guest Koreans in the pre-season PBA tournament. 35 points si DeVance ato nga game.@yomak: mo itsa sad siyag tres boss??
sakto, Devance plays like a Davonn Harp nga reliable ang jumpshot but not as good ballhandler as Harp
Belasco for Holper and Escalona?
pataka ra man ka do! joe devance kay more of an all-around player. slasher nya grabe kaayo sa perimeter. c davonn harp kay dili bya to maayo sa perimeter, low post player jud to hook-shot with both hands ang specialty ato. devance has 3 point range, harp kay wala klaro. harp is not a good ball handler, sa low post ra mu tuyok2x. c devance kay mu dala man bola court-court! pagtan-aw ug games ni devance sa toyota otis pa sya arong makabalo ka unsyay dinulaan.Originally Posted by thadzonline

yup i agree. i once watched a game of toyota otis sa PBL, mayo jud si joe devance. all-around player and a very good rebounder.
maybe I need to refresh you also nga modala si Harp og bola from the rebound to the other end of the court. basaha sad tarong ang gipost, ingon gani ko nga naay jumpshot..meaning compared to Harp, naay shooting touch si Devance..I do watch the PBL games and I see that Harp has better ballhandling skills than Joe Devance..although seldom lang nimo makita si Harp doing the ballhandling kay naa man sila pointguard but when you see Harp bring down the ball, you know he does it with ease,.. not as good ballhandler meaning he could be good but not as good as how Harps handles the leader.Originally Posted by killer_for_hire

bottomline do kay c harp og devance dili pareho dinulaan unlike what you said! layo ra kaayo. c harp low post player lng, while devance pwede guard-to-center positions. nya a much better ball handler c devance, mao gani maayo kaayo mu penetrate. harp cannot slash to the basket like devance kay prone kaayo mu stealan.Originally Posted by thadzonline

Rumored trade: Nick Belasco (Welcoat) for Macky Escalona and Mike Holper (both from Ginebra)
Ginebra needs Nick Belasco's experience more than anything else and they badly need a replacement for Rudy Hatfield. At 33 years old, Belasco is still among the better frontcourtmen in the PBA now. If Belasco ends up playing for Ginebra, it will reunite him with head coach Jong Uichico who coached him during his San Miguel Beer career. Belasco is a decent shooter, scorer, rebounder and at times plays good defense and hustle as well, a perfect fit for the big void left by Rudy Hatfield. Will Belasco ask the same demands from Ginebra?
As for Escalona and Holper, both are young and flashy guys, something Welcoat needs if they're looking forward for a brighter future. Holper is one of the few big men in the PBA who can run and play the running game. With Welcoat, Holper can get the chance to prove himself because of it's not-so-deep line-up. Paul Artadi might have been a lot better to send to Welcoat than Macky Escalona at a spectators point of view. Artadi played most of his amateur career with Welcoat.
For now, Ginebra obviously won the deal. Nick Belasco is way, way better and more reliable than both Macky Escalona and Mike Holper. But in 2-3 years, both young stars can turn out to be well established PBA stars. We all still have to watch out.
