IMHO, in the end, they wont coz they cant. [abolition]

The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it.
I think the point of marc_francis is abolition is going too far but to suggest to control what frats can do would be more feasible...strengthen the anti-hazing law and see to it that it is enforced and we'll be fine
naa koy question...
nganu ang initiation sa frat kay bunal bunalan man?...ngnau jd diay?...sakit man...
good question which I think not all fratmen have a logical and convincing answer
Such a question has been answered already a lot of times in this thread and other threads involving fraternities. The very reason of hazing being a part of initiation rights is because it has been the tradition. Most fratmen just do it because of the very fact that such a thing has been done repeatedly and has been passed on for generations in the fraternity. Take note that most people who join fraternities have very shallow reason and most of them join because they want to feel a sense of belongingness, after all, especially for young people, being a part of a frat, especially a popular fraternity is somewhat "cool". Because of such "belongingness" they're immediately blinded and follow what has been the tradition of the frat, no ifs, no buts, no questions asked.naa koy question...

aw mao bah gud diay...
shallow sad kau ang reason...just because mao na ang tradition...
anyweiz...na answer na kaong question...
i didn't say moderate earthquakes! coz nobody can, we can ONLY prevent it! but for hazing, yes the frat can prevent or moderate it in its initiation rites!Originally Posted by potterboy
it shouldnt be. But what should be clarified is what differentiates a fraternity or another organization to a gang.
Like in Cebu, naay mga gang nga murag fraternity and not the reverse. If you know what i mean.

SImple ra kaayo ang solution sa problema . Dont even think of ABOLISHINg the FRATERNIY and SORORITY because they wont and they cant .
Stick to the program .... implement ANTI HAZING LAW . Ang masakpan , madakpan kay hatagan ug heavy penalty . A kind of penalty which is considered a WAKE UP CALL sa mga VIOLATORS . So sa masakpan lang ... but because kay heavy penalty man hadlok na sila masakpan , that way they will resort to ALTERNATIVES . When I say HEAVY PENALTIES , dili kanang mapayansaan lang ug 20,000 PHp .
