With or without fraternities, such delinquents will still exist and the only thing that they could change is that there will no longer be any fraternity-related crimes because of the very fact that fraternities no longer exist in anybody's context. With the abolition of fraternities, is there a guarantee that deaths resulting from hazing will stop? Frat wars will just turn into gang wars and it's just a mere change of name.

And other thing, such a move is throwing away a whole basket of tomatoes because of just a very few rotten ones. Very impractical.
lahi ang analogy sa cars kay dili man sanctioned sa car companies nga magkacar accident, but ang hazing gisanction man sa frat, so there is a clear line there.. my point is kung dili i-ban then let then straighten up, crack down on those who violate the law, make sure nga frats will no longer do hazing, which is of course hard to do considering the resistance..qualified man sad ang akoang argument nga i-ban lang ONLY if they break the law, wala man ko niingon nga outright i-ban tanan

The very SOLUTION to the problem is HEAVY PENALTY sa mga VIOLATORS sa HAZING mapa FRAT or dili basta bottomline HAZING siya . Ma naay FATALITIES or wala basta guilty of HAZING .

It's not who supports or sanctions the act but it's what causes the undesirable result.

There will always be resistance no matter what and it's not only in fraternities. We seldom hear criminals surrender themselves voluntarily to the authorities once they commit a crime. Your argument of "ban lang only if they break the law" says that it's still banning all fraternities, no ifs, no buts and not only those frats who are responsible for such delinquent acts but all fraternities as well. It might not be outright but it points to the same result, ban all fraternities. At least, that's how I understand your point.

reading the posts here, i've come to a conclusion:

obviously there is resistance to change. might be a matter of PRIDE. besides, longheld traditions are being challenged. male traditions pa jud. double strike.
It's not pride, we're just here, especially kadtong mga tarong and people who strive so hard to do good, to defend our stand. After all, everybody is hitting "fraternities" as a whole and only a very few singles out those frats or people responsible for such heinous actions.

I never made a stand or a statement to ban all fraternities, in fact my suggestion is to only ban those who do not abide by the law of the land, meaning if a frat cannot do away with the illegal act of hazing then, criminals na ang nagpasiugda sa hazing

What if death penalty or Electric Jail for hazing violators with a fine of 5 million pesos? I think this will end hazing problem in our country.
