Havent tried it but ALO have good powerful porta amps & I think this has a BASS Enhancer control knob w/c I think would be great addition if songs are very lame sounding

me, i got the X5, cz at that time the DX90 was not yet released, and fetzhola had a very good price. stacking it with the Vorzuge Pure II, it now has a better SQ over a stock DX90 or even an Astell&Kern.
    Thanks for chiming in korg17.
"if you can afford the DX90, go for it".
Is the DX90 a better DAP then than the X5 considering that the price difference is $10.00 / P457.00 only at Amazon.
Is there a shop in Cebu where one can audition both dap's?

Btw are you running balanced out? I wonder how these will sound on a balanced amp compared to single-ended.

Yup the photo has a bass knob in it. Pretty interesting.
Would've been nice to audition one, are there any shops that carry the Alo brand in Cebu?

Btw you've got quite a real estate of audio equipments. A real die-hard audiophile indeed.

Just for UI alone, get the DX90 bai, X5's UI is quite bad. other than that, the rest of the components are pretty even.

All my amps are single-ended so i dont use balanced out. If you get that ALO Rx, better take advantage of its balanced output since you have it.

Experience wise my brother use to have AMPS in the 70's w/c smoke a lot, not sure what are the causes but I think the parts in old days are not as sturdy as of present times or unstable voltage condition w/c could spike so high sometimes. Present good quality amps are given allowance in the voltage area of +/- 15v. Well anyway as for the fire extinguisher its been there since na timing lang pay set up nag tupad ra

    Tks feedback.
Interesting DX90 indeed. Dual dac design.
Maybe someday someone can do a tweak to separate the single-end out into a balanced output. That would be a balanced out all the way from the dap to the amp.

    Congrats on your Vorzuge btw.
