    Perfect answer sir!

If you mean...be creative sometimes...explore! take risks and think!
I wouldn't expect somebody still have "think outside the box" mentality here!

    But!
If ang difinition nimo sa "default behavior" is "Get rich fast-stubborn attitude/mentality"
Meaning...gusto madatu sayun ug way hago..then you're wrong...
sometimes ang pagcge pangita mas sayun nga paagi maka discover
ta ug new system...mao na gitawag nga pioneers in business..

Sakto ka na di man dautan mag huna2x ta ug paspas nga way to earn...as long as its legal
    and safe..and cautious ta pirme..

I want to know kung naa ba ma share members dire...as in "Sole Proprietorship" kind of biz..
    Dili investments...dili mutual funds..dili stocks..

    Hope istoryans can add more..
Anyway..mu add nalang pod ko ug ideas...

    mmmm how about..
Consignee kind of business! not new pero mao ni..
    - Mall Style..(no wonder nangadatu sila Henry Sy ug Ayalas...they own the place..and earn passive)
    - For Online...eCommerce Store - Not your products pero ga-earn ka as commissions from ads also..
    - TV broadcast (gihimo na ni sa ABS/GMA..etc..

lisud jud cguro...mao only e-quote nlng nko..sakto ka boss..

    And your statement is correct.

PERO lang, I was stressing on websites w/ content lockers. Kani nga types, imo ra i-setup for about 30 minutes or less. Automate promotion & the rest. Sit back and earn. Dont you call this a passive way of earning? Im into this karon trying to earn a decent passive income.

Anyway, there is no point commenting here.

Anybody can stick to the anybody's way of earning. It's all up to you folks. Some people choose and stick to old-school ideas, some people choose & take risk on new ideas (asked by TS), some people go for what is "in" karon. Pero ang ending, naa ra jud na nato.

    Sige, ayo-ayo mo diha.

I know about content locker but I don't do this. Because I hate these types of websites myself unless it really is good or original content. Bait and Switch. Which is, somehow to be argued as unethical.

    Amen Sir!
Kung unsay imong huna-huna, payts na na!

If you want it to be ethical, naa na na nimo
If you want it to be unethical, naa ra pod na nimo
Same goes to TS, if passive income na, payts na.
If dili na passive income, payts gihapon na!

Kung saan mo masaya, suportaan ta mo.

    @yawertzra

I mentioned that my post is a bit OT because the concept applies not only to investments but to the human aspect in general. I'm referring to human weaknesses (psychologists called it biases) that deprive us from developing what should be the "proper mindset" or being rational. I'm sorry but I cannot expound it further because it's already OT, giving respect to the intention for creating such thread.

On the topic, I don't think there's a clear boundary between passive and active business or investments. If we search the internet, there's a lot of definition, sometimes confusing. So I guess the best thing to do for the discussion is to stick with how the TS defined "passive". Though, both sides have points that are worth noting as far as definition on the word passive is concern, this will only lead to endless discussion.

REAL Passive incomes can only be earned through investments like Mutual Funds, or interest-bearing instruments.
Because in a Business. You will always need Capital. and on investments. It's basically your money that solely becomes capital.

    Your example as below..
1.) Real Estate for rent - You need to pour in a big capital and big time here. Since if you want this passive to become successful you yourself must manage it to grow. Mo hago gyud ka ani sugod. Nya kung sucessful... follow-up nalng.
2.) Boarding Houses - Same as above.
3.) Commercial Spaces for rent - Same as above.
4.) Equipments rental (electronics/mechanical/electrical..etc) - Same as above. Nya problem is mo degrade ang equipments. Imung capital which is the equipment is depreciating capital pa gyud.

The truth is, there is really no such thing as a passive income as there is free lunch. There is always a cost to everything that we do. Though, the cost might differ from one deal to another.

Just my two cents. But yes, please do not stop brainstorming this idea of passive incomes. I, for one, support this thread. But we should thread cautiously.
daghan dalagkong mga businesses sa Australia nga equipments for rent. from small tools to trucks hehehe
