naa siguro oi...pero majority are average earners I suppose, that's why many will never get to understand how it is to be poor

^ On the other hand, istoryans might be poor at the onset but determined enough to do their ways to improve. With that, they were able to move up the social ladder. As such, we may understand how it is to be poor but we know we can improve. Sometimes, that's the way it is.

It will have a trickle effect to the masses if we are just appreciative of it. The prices of basic commodities might be higher than what it is now if not for economic growth, since the prices of oil in the international market and other factors affect us.

many dont feel bec wen i ask them how much do you earn some say 100 PHP ea day (12 hours shift OMG!)..know your rights and know that you to have power to demand a bigger wage (if you deserve it)

TRUE that some or majority of the people dont feel the 7.5%...i've asked some COMMON people they say its stil the same...PRICES are rising....

BUT we must consider some factors...

TRUE that the 7.5 may ONLY be felt by the "7.5" of the country...

BUT consider that GDP has A LOT of factors w.c makes it up and down...and since the PHILIPPINES is not SMS that you can really recieve RIGHT away the increase...

A country is a VERY intricate system....

OT: sun SMS wud be receivd at 30 sec..in my experience

IMAGINE BILIONS of pesos pumped in ...

so its not right away we can SEE the effects of the 7.5...

for the TAX...ITS bec of the PREVIOUS elections...much was spent on the election(VOTE buying. lobbying, new car, new house, lexus, pork barel etc)

SO only one party WOULD BURDEN of offset the expense...businesses...

...BEST thing to do IMO...BE VIGILANT and be open!...^_^

A manipulation cannot be possible since it is the international community who’s behind this administration. I don't think we can easily influence the international community, if not for the real economic growth we are experiencing.
    Agree.

In addition, I also think we put some other metrics, other than the GDP, to measure economic prosperity. GDP or Per Capita Income may not be reflective of how people live comfortably. There are still people who live upon the generosity of others -- and they are all over the skywalks sa Fuente.

well the numbers might have been tweaked in order to give a "shinier" effect but i still want to believe that we filipinos are improving (in relation to GDP)... yep there still are poor people... crime... and those ranting demonstrators shouting on the streets saying "we are still suffering"... yet there are those who are silent but are constantly building their dreams... those that despite the lies and corruption still manage to live a clean and descent life... those who selflessly give a part of what they have to others... those who in their own way strive to make their lives at least an inch better than what yesterday was... these are the people who constitute the figures presented... it might not be the actual value but it represents these people... what i'm trying to say is that each citizen contributes to a nation... the government can never provide everything... only up to a certain point... it will always be both a personal battle and responsibility for each citizen to improve his/her own life...

don't you think it's correct to say we are improving?... for me i say "i am"... in my own little way i am... i might not have succeeded yet but i am trying to get there... and at least i'm contributing (though in a very tiny amount) to the GDP income... i don't know about the rest of you guys but everything must have to start somewhere... and it's most effective to start within ourselves...

ooopss! what the &#*^ am i talking? hmmmm... i'm thinking maybe it's due to too much caffeine... better get out of here...
