hi guys, anyone cisco certified here? i just want to know of how to configure 3 vlans in layer 3 switch...please share your knowledge.... thanks

Hi Bro,

It depends if you want to configure just a layer 2 vlan or layer 3 vlan(SVI - Switch Virtual Interface), but anyways heres the step:

To create a layer 2 VLAN:

Sample#enable
Sample(config)# vlan 2
Sample(config-vlan)#name Test VLAN
Sample(config-vlan)#exit
Sample(config)#exit
Sample#wr mem


To create a layer 3 VLAN:

Sample#enable
Sample(config)# interface vlan 2
Sample(config-if)#ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
Sample(config-if)#exit
Sample(config)#exit
Sample#wr mem
