Default WARNING: Morbid. But how would u like your death, funeral, interment, etc to be?

well let's face it. life ends. i had to tell my 11 and 12 year-old cousins this life truth today.

so if you can have it your way, how would you like everything to be? death, funeral, interment/cremation.

murag part sa inyong last will and testament (include where your estate and riches will go).

when everything is done, just bury me quick, i got insurance money you can use for the purpose...and then just let everybody live on, nothing sentimental I wish

a family member has recently died and this explains my revived interest in the subject.

well, life is indeed short. we are like vapors in the wind...waves tossed in the sea (Who Am I by Casting Crowns).

anyway, so how would i like my death and funeral to be?

manner of death - i'd like a painless death, if possible please. death in my sleep or kanang ma crash nalang akong airplane gisakyan (kanang ako ra usa pasahero para di moreklamo ang uban). basta quick and painless.

funeral - ai gusto ko bongga gamay. i'd like a blown-up picture with lighting at the back. of course the best picture that i have. video showing of my life's milestones. eulogy from friends and loved ones. so i'd have a funeral coordinator for this.

burial or cremation? - i'd like to be cremated my ashes put inside a beautiful ceramic jar. so ya, no body or casket in the scene above, just my jar and the blown-up picture. so that's what people will remember of me...my pic, not my dead body.

last will and testament - everything prepared so that there'd be no squabbles among those left behind.

P.S. i forgot about the background music. yes i'd love to have background music--Helena by My Chemical Romance, and a few other favorite songs.

i'm taking a class that's called PSY 372: Death, Dying, and Bereavement and actually came across the exact same question.

And my answer was---i wanna be cremated.

P.S. i'm taking this class because "death" has always been an interesting subject for me. I guess our society is slowly becoming desensitized about death for the mere fact that our brains are constantly fed with death-related news or information by the media. Just take a look at the news, or read newspapers, at least there's a section that says someone got murdered or killed in an accident or someone committed suicide, etc..

@chad why is it called PSY 372 not 371 or 370? just wondering

anyway, ya death is so cheap these days. well, i guess death can be cheap, even in old times, killed people were just dumped in a grave site or burned. tsk. for the fortunate ones, the patriarchs, they were really given importance, grieving lasted for at least a week and all the descendants paid tribute to their ancestor.

bitaw kaning last few hours nato, nindto unta surrounded ta by family members and loved ones. then a spouse holding your hands, whispering comforting words to you. and i wish maka whisper ko back ug ,"mosunod ra ka..." hehehe

by the way folks, namatay akong tatay (adopted lolo namo) last night and i was there right by his side when he breathed his last. i didnt want him to suffer jud so i kept telling him to rest na...and when he did i bid him "maayung pagpanaw". naggawas lage akong lalum nga binisaya hehe...haaaaayyyyy humor lang gihapon...it's okay i guess i just feel relieved he didnt suffer too long. coz i really dont like an agonizing death. sometimes doctors are just bent on prolonging life, but not the quality of life...you know what i mean? all those machines and tubes...tsk.
