compared to Kobe: came in fresh, young and innocent out of high school, picked by the league's most popular club with all the glitter surrounding him. He wasn't used to it and had to take some time to get used to it, a lot of expectations on his shoulders which could have emotionally, mentally and psychologically burdened him. And despite winning a number of rings a lot of people still look for him to prove himself every night and part of that thanks to the LA LAkers penchant for glitter, showbiz flair. Imagine how less pressure ang na experience ni Lebron James just because he played for a less popular club?
mao..if ONLY he played for Charlotte, he could have matured the right way....he could have broken so many records and personal accolades...I'm not sure though if he could have won a championship...but they have a chance since they have Baron Davis, Anthony Mason...hehehe

apil ko ha... if only he played charotte, well for sure vlade will still be in lakers cos that was trade for kobe and i know kobe will still in his learning stage in his career..polishing his skills. he got his SKILL level pag mga 3 years and up na sa iyang career...

yah..what i admire him most is during the last all-star game of MJ wherein MJ made the last against Shawn Marion...it would have been a perfect ending for his career but what happened is Kobe took the ball from an inbound pass, got fouled and was able to tie the game, send it to OT, wherein they won...KG won the MVP..it's a way of respecting a legend not in a way most of us will do (we'll let him bid goodbye w/ a winning shot)..but it earned him MJ's respect...

and mas ganahan kaayo si Jordan nga that is the kind of respect afforded him because that just confirms his legacy because he is being used as the yardstick to which players look up to

This topic will never end because there will always be Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan fans. We all know what Michael Jordan has done for the Chicago Bulls, the NBA, USA Basketball, and basketball in general. Yet comparing Bryant to him right now is still to premature, we still don't know what Bryant will do for the rest of his career in the NBA.

Kobe still has a long way to go to be regarded as the "greatest basketball player" to ever set foot on the court, yet at 29 years old, he can still do it. Kobe is still not in his prime, he can still do better than what he's used to do. For now, all I can say is that Kobe is a better scorer than Jordan.

at least I have another 1 who would admit he's a far better scorer than MJ...there were a lot of criticism during his historic 81pt game..even scottie pip thought it won't happen during this time...I don't believe him since Kobe didn't shot the ball laying it up or dunking it, he was shooting the ball either 2 or 3pts and with multiple defenders...he was even fading away in some of his 3pt attempts..saonz nangigo lang jud ang tao...

Kobe and MJ will have different legacies it is at least safe to say Kobe is a better scorer, lisod sad i compare ila leadership capabilities kay contrasting ila styles but MJ kept his troops closer and influenced them with his character, I cant say the same for Kobe with the spat he had with his teammates most notably Shaq and his wanting to be traded, remember one time MJ turned down an offer sheet from NY Knicks because he wanted to affirm and stand up to his contract with the Bulls?

Me, MJ he knows how to pass the ball to open teammates while Kobe is buaya bisan naa lugar iya kauban kay dili gihapon ipasa. No one can beat MJ record, in some aspect siguro pero sa tanan niya na achieve kay lisod jud.

doesnt mean kobe scored 81 that hes the better scorer...... hmmmm debatable pa na.. remember when jordan socred 69 points he hit 28 fields goals, and when kobe socred 81 he hit 29 field goals........ gamay ra deperensya, ciguro sa 3 pointers ra ang deperensya........

3 point shooting cguro advantage si kobe. pero scoring Jordan got my vote..... averaging a carreer best 30.01 tied with Willt.. kobe is norming 25 or 26 points per game in his entire Carreer..

Iverson is a better scorer than kobe.... check the stats www.nba.com......

heck even David Robinson socred 71 points in a game is he a better scorer than jordan nope....
