hello all(tagging @kornyedison_143),

magpakonsulta unta kos gamayng problema na encounter sa xbox360 nko when playing NBA 2k14.

just a little background sa akong unit:
*4gb storage w/ kinect
*bought in mid 2011 in singapore
*will only play original games
*brought it home late 2012 and used rarely

problem:
- i got the DVD game from datablitz in ayala, original sya, sealed with no scratches on the cd surface upon checking sa store

- when first inserted into my unit, a pop up appeared requiring me to install some updates needed to play the game, which i did. i also connected my unit online via wifi to install some updates.

- problem is erratic, whenever i start the game, it will go thru the normal loading/startup process with background music then it will stop and a message will appear "disc is unreadable", and have to restart the unit several times in order for me to get through the menus and play a complete game.

- tested my NBA 2k11 disc which is used thoroughly (w/ several scratches on the back) and it worked perfectly.

- brought the cd back for replacement. staff from datablitz asked me what model i got and told them i have the 4gb, they explained that issue is common on 4gb units vs the 250gb units, they tested same cd on their 250gb brand new unit since they dont have 4gb units left and it worked flawlessly.

- they advised i need to buy 320gb xbox hdd (costs almost 5k) to fix issue.

now i dont have problem buying the hdd but my concern is, what if same issue gihapon? datablitz tech support via email doesnt help, they just tell you to install the game which i cant coz wala koy hdd.

ako question to you guys is:
- naa moy other workaround for this issue?

i hope naay makatambag. kindly tag me lang so that ma notify pd ko.

ADDITIONAL INQUIRY:
- asa nato pwede ipaayo ang wireless controller sa xbox360? di na man gd mu work, oplokerns man gd ako gibinlan sa amoa last 2012, giingnan if mapundir na ang battery tangtanga, ako ray gatantang pag uli nko last May 2014. wala man nuon muleak ang battery but murag naay gamayng molds(di ko sure murag greenish man color gd instead the usual silver) sa contacts sa battery carrier niya.

To avoid shelling out some more money, do you happen to have a 16GB or 32GB flashdrive or you can borrow someone else's? Then you're in luck, try they're suggestion but w/o shelling out 5k... Since the xbox can actually convert any USB 2.0 flashdrive and turn it to Memory Unit and in this way you'll be allowed to install the update on that flashdrive... First, delete the update from the 4gb internal memory unit nimo... Then plug your flashdrive then convert it to a memory unit... Then play your 2k14 then install the update to the flashdrive and not the 4gb internal... Then TEST!!!

About the 250GB hdd, it's an investment mansad to have that... More space and more stuff you can download especially if Xbox Live Gold member ka, 2 free games every month...

thanks kaau sa reply sir. actually didto kos maze sa ayala gahapon nag ask ug suggestion sa ako issue (kalimot kos name sa store) and the technician said i have to get the hdd jd to fix the issue. naa unta toy cheaper alternative (samsung hdd 500gb for php2500), but you need to have the unit jtagged which i don't want to upon reading parts of this thread nga ma ban ang xbox unit nimu sa microsoft once you connect to xbox live (w/c i plan to do soon).

i have a flash drive nga 16gb but my question is (1) how to delete the update in my 4gb unit? and (2) how and where to get the update and install it in the flashdrive instead of directly sa unit? mayta maka tudlo mo nko.

regarding sa wireless controller nko the store technician told me to bring it kay iya pa icheck para ma assess ang problem ug diha sya maka hatag sa damage (ugh!).

ANOTHER QUESTION:
naa ba jd difference if i'll use HDMI cable vs. the in-box AV cable sa xbox? ako TV kay HDMI ready man.

i used my 16gb spare flash drive, formatted it and installed the game in the flash drive (also included the game's save profile)..and okay na so far, paspas ang loading no more disc is unreadable error so far.

controller nalang kulang, palit sa ko wd40 as per sir @pepau advise to clean some molds mayta mu work. hehehe

btw kinsay naa old NBA 2K13 na game (original)? ako unta ulian if oks ra heheh naa man gd FIBA hehe

unsaon pag sud anang extracted ISO na downloaded to the xbox (jtagged) internal HDD?? help please...

bag-o lang jud ko gapa JTAG, daghan na kog games na download pero gapabilin sa pc, pero wa pa nako ma sud sa internal tanan kay mag tagsa-tagsa pa kog copy from usb to xbox internal drive and some, if ma copy na, ma fail error when im about to start the game.

question... mopalit ko ug battlefield3 sa datablitz pero ingon ng saleslady, di compatible sa akoang unit anang game to which confused me kay nstc ang nakabutang sa casing sa game and ang uban sa akoang games ay nstc ug nstc-j nakabutang. by the way, sa sm ko napalit ang xbox ko. so is it safe to say na asian akoang xbox? and if paliton ko ang battlefield3, magwork sa unit ko?
