That's exactly what I'm afraid of. Constitutional amendment requires time and a conglomeration of multiple legislative specialists. Expediting this would require usurpation of authority and disregard of the sovereignty of the Filipino people. I still believe the solution in fixing our nation lies on the education of our gen pop.

IMHO, adapting a federal system would be better. That way there'd be equal distribution of power, localization of funds and resources, and to lessen bureaucracy. This will then lead to a gross reduction in graft and corruption. We don't need another Martial Law. That will only give more power to our military. The military is a microcosm of our national government. There are corrupt officers as well. As in the Marcos administration, there were a lot of chronicled cases of harassment. We should also think that justice may be served faster this way, but this will also lead to a greater chance of injustice due to lack of due process. The president will be judge, jury, and executioner. There were a lot of documented cases of political prisoners detained and killed by the Marcos regime. Some of them did were not corrupt. Some of them didn't deserve to die. But because one man's decision was followed without question, they died instantaneously. Bazinga. Now that's something to be afraid of.

But yes, there's not a day that I wish Cebu is like Davao. Duterte could work. I just hope he won't have a monopoly of power and that many more leaders like him would emerge.

lol I still don't know a single born and bred individual from Davao City that migrated in Cebu, Everything is in Davao City, Cebu is a provincial slum, a city of call center companies pretending to be an economy. lol Cebuanos really like to make up stories.

Davao City's population is ballooning each year even reaching the 2.5 million mark during peak hours, People all over the Philippines mostly Cebuanos migrate to Davao City for better living conditions, In fact when you go to Davao City you will immediately notice that people have different dialects, It is indeed the City of Migrants, The greatest City in the Philippines!

    Cheers!
