Prices are regulated and based according to case, effort, severity, materials used. There are different classifications and types of impaction:

    According to direction:
    1. Mesio-angular
    2. Disto-angular
    3. Vertical
    4. Horizontal

    According to extent:
    1. Full
    2. Partial

    According to coverage:
    1. Soft-tissue
    2. Bony-tissue

The reason why people should not ask for prices in dental forums and ask for the cheapest place for dental services, is that, dentists are bound to Board Resolution No. 14 S. of 2008 or the Code of Ethics for dentists. Dental services are supposed to be regulated and should have the same prices. They can't be lower, but they can be higher than the average price (Article I, Section 5). Soliciting patients in forums or in any degrading manner is in violation of Article III, Section 19.3. A dentist shall not solicit patients personally, or as I would like to put it, whore oneself. Do you see physicians whore themselves out in this forum? No insult intended, but let's not degrade our profession. Smile.

The only reason why a dentist lowers one's prices is the low quality of service rendered. Lowering prices for public service is quite misleading. The Cebu Dental Chapter might have a list of regulated fees at their website.

Just want to share. Got my 4 wisdom teeth removed a few years ago. I think 10K per tooth ang charge, human 50% discount kay family friend ang dentist. hehe. Ang kalagot sa impacted teeth (especially kana sideways jud kaayo), it's a ticking time bomb.
