hehe. gubat na.......
Yes..
of course, i would spell out my big YES.
that's what god has promised.
yes because i believed in the Lord JEsus Christ. i believed that He died for me and gave himself for me. WOW!...thats the good news..
God has showed his love to us by sending his son Christ to die for sin. Romans 5:8 says, "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." Jesus doesn't ask us to clean our lives up and then come to him. He wants us to come to him as we are—sinners in need of forgiveness. We come to him by faith. In other words, we trust that only Christ's death on the cross can make us right with God. We could never do enough good things for God to love us. Titus 3:5 says, "[ Christ ] saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit."
Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."
wow, such innocent claims..
i fervently hope you will find the truth within yourselves in your beliefs.. good luck and God Bless..
anyway, a little comment..

take for example a robber. A robber can continue on robbing, and then as long as he professes faith in Jesus Christ he will be saved? its like having a friend who lied to you. as long as that friend has faith in Jesus, it doesn't matter if that friend continues on lying to you? Just want some clarification on what you posted, okay.![]()
I agree with you christiana, It is nice to have an assurance that indeed GOD made everything possible for our salvation. Taking what you have posted in context, being saved is life changing indeed, renewal a rebirth all together, gone with the pass and hello present with the LORD.Originally Posted by christiana
I so enjoy that salvation.
Re: If someone ask you "Luwas na ba ka?", whats ur answer?
ngano nangutana man ka? plano nimo mang-recruit sa imong simbahan?
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith.
- Romans 1: 17
I wasn't the one being asked, but in light of that passage above, Romans 1: 17, first your repentance and salvation begins with faith... if it is real faith, it leads to a new life and good works...[a] and in the end you have lived that way because of faith.take for example a robber. A robber can continue on robbing, and then as long as he professes faith in Jesus Christ he will be saved? its like having a friend who lied to you. as long as that friend has faith in Jesus, it doesn't matter if that friend continues on lying to you? So there's a distinction between that genuine believe, trust, and reliance on Christ, and just "easy believism" which mahagbong gihapon as faithlessness and does not lead to good works.

it is still our responsibility to clean up our lives. Jesus doesn't ask that we clean up our lives in the sense that we become distant from him because we have sinned, but in the sense that even if we have sinned, we can still go forward and ask for forgiveness. in this context, compassion is what Jesus Christ is showing. Despite our "errors", we are still given chances. No judgment or condemnation is made. No burning in the lake of fire, so to speak. So it does not stop at faith alone, we must then be responsible for our actions also. Otherwise, why would Christ command us to be perfect or to love our enemies? It is our actions that will speak up for this "faith", lest we fall back to our errors.
in the case of the robber example, or the friend who has lied, how to show compassion to those who have erred against us, and help them help themselves in the process. of course, if the robber continues to rob you, how would you respond again? or the friend who lies to you again.. this is another topic to discuss na. bottomline is, we still need to clean up our lives. it does not end with faith only.
Yes, but I was speaking in context that you need God's help to change... because contrary to Scripture people also teach that we can be righteous on our own.it is still our responsibility to clean up our lives. It starts by faith --> which then manifests into a person changing his life and doing good works because he is God's workmanship -- > And in the end, he is still justified by faith. [1]
What James says, "Show me your faith without deeds and I'll show you my faith by what I do." is an illustration of how good works manifest by faith.
